It felt like what would happen if I accidentally bumped into something, but I had not - this was an allergic reaction. I went to do some more research on Lamisil side effects and found this site. After reading of some similar affects and many much worse, I dumped those pills down the toilet and went and made myself try and throw up the 2nd day pill I had just taken. | I always became lazy trying a topical solution for my toe fungus. Now I will be dedicated to using it. Using a scary drug like this isn't worth it. I'm glad I paid close attention for any side effects. From the second week on, CSR in my right eye has recurred slightly, after almost a decade of healing. In the sixth week of medication there was a lower back pain while carrying a light bucket. It continues for almost fifteen days whereas it had recovered in a few days in the past. I was examined by a neurosurgeon and he said that there was no slipped disc, but muscle relaxant injection, tablets and creams did not work at all. | Muscle weakness is a very common side effect of this drug. Stomach pain, gas, bloating, loose stools, diarrhea. It became intolerable and not worth it for me. I also experienced occasional headaches, fatigue, vivid and disturbing dreams that would wake me during the night with inability to go back to sleep and anxiety. | I may have tried to stick it out longer if not for the GI issues. Definitely disrupted my life. It took 3 weeks after stopping the medication to start to feel like myself again and for my GI symptoms to improve to a tolerable level. This med leaves your system very slowly. I just tried to drink lots of water to get it out, and I started taking probiotics, which I think has helped. It has now been 6 weeks since stopping and I'm still having loose stools and now, what appears to be reflux symptoms, although I'm not sure. I feel like there is something stuck in my throat, and I am burping lots throughout the day. If anyone has had this side effect, please email me. It is driving me crazy! I feel like this med really did a number on my digestive tract from top to bottom. I just hope these lingering changes are not permanent. On the positive side, one of my 2 infected toenails does appear to be growing out clear, however this med was not worth it. Have read that terbinafine can cause neutropenia, a diminution in the white blood cell count, and those are the ones that fight infection. I am surmising that terbinafine has an immuno-suppresive effect, so don't get sick while taking it!
