4  Allergies, sinusitis Had a headache when I first started it. Switched to the “sensimist” version and did much better. Only ever had one nosebleed while on it. Came off it after 2 years because I wasn’t sure I still needed it. Deciding to go back on it after a 5 month period of not using It with spring allergies firing up. Having the same headache from starting back up but after the second dose I can already breathe better and my ears aren’t clogged. Can’t do the regular one, have to use the one without fragrance- which is more expensive. 32 2 years

2  Pet allergies Anxiety, 90% loss of sense of smell I didn't realize that this medication was the cause of my terrible anxiety symptoms. It controls my allergies pretty well but the side effects are way too serious. The loss of sense of smell is very annoying. I hate flonase. It should be banned. 27 4 months

2  Could not shake flu symptoms RN prescribed it because I was having difficulty recovering from flu - lingering sinus stuff. Also do nasal rinse daily all the time. I think it's giving me the aches - lingering light cough, no real sinus issue, but I think it just makes me feel lousy so I'm gonna stop and see what happens. 59 10 days

1  Allergies Nurse practitioner suggested and I began taking when treated for an ear infection. I developed a rash and an infection on my face, which was treated with mupiricin. Then I developed pink eye and excruciating low back pain. Add to the list elevated resting heart rate and anxiety. I followed the chain of events back to flonase and stopped using it, felt immediately better. I would rather sneeze than use flonase. 58 9 months

1  Allergies Horrible...headaches, muscle pain, severe fatigue, sore eyes and throat, red flushed face, severe lack of energy in the morning. I went to ER several times...drs. Thought I was crazy. It turned out I had low cortisol...yes it can cause adrenal suppression! NEVER AGAIN. Should have more warnings about side effects. I'm worried about children taking this stuff. I felt like I was dying. 66 20 days

1  Sinus Used Flonase for sinus based on recommendation from Dr., Two weeks in had heart palpitations, anxiety, muscle pain , brain zaps. They diagnosed me with GAD generalized anxiety disorder, they gave me anti depressants Zoloft and atvian, I took them for a week but I stopped, didn't make sense that suddenly I would have this disorder. I've been slowly getting better. I can't believe I didn't make the connection before. 27 14 days

1  Vasomotor Rhinitis Anxiety, weight gain, depression, SERIOUS insomnia (thought I was going crazy). Quit jobs due to the side affects impacting my life. I suffer with a rare form of Vasomtor Rhinitis that only 5% of the population have, and this was the only spray that helped... its a shame as I can’t sleep with the spray and can’t sleep without it due to my condition Only use for a very short-term, and don’t use if you’re drug sensitive 26 1 years

1  Allergies Anxiety Chest pain I posted here a year ago , same situation as many of you. I wanted to give an update , Dr. Visits did not help since they will deny Flonase can cause any anxiety but it was a good idea to make sure nothing else was going on like heart problems ect. My recommendation is get blood work to first make sure everything is ok , once the doctor says you are healthy then do light Excercise each day and light yoga , try to decrease your stress , stop overthinking the symptoms and stop thinking it could be anything else. Stop telling your family and friends about it because you will continue to think of it. The moment I decided I was just going to live with it that moment foward it decreased significantly. Within a year I don't really get any anxiety anymore. I also recommend counseling but just once every two weeks. That gives you a chance to vent and discuss anything that can also contribute. 28 10 days

1  Allergies I also want to add, if the anxiety is making you lose it, try a reputable brand of CBD oil. If you've never used it before, start with just a drop or two. Also, natural calm magnesium powder (find it at health stores) can help take the edge off. Ollys sleep gummies helped with the worst of my insomnia the first few weeks. Keep pushing through it and don't give up! Remember, this is not forever. 30 21 days

1  Allergies To anyone struggling with the effects/withdrawal of this "medicine" please get yourself to and endocrinologist! After 4 ER trips, I was finally referred to one and told the flonase gave me a slight case of Cushing's syndrome. My high cortisol has been making me sick as a dog and like I was going crazy. But I'm NOT going crazy and neither are you! This steroid has made you sick. I've been pushing through it for a month, it is hard, but it does gradually get better. Can't tell you how nice it is to have a dr tell you it won't last forever! Don't give up! You can be yourself again!!!! This sh** won't stay in your system forever, even if it seems like it. All natural meds like melatonin, Ashwagandha, and magnesium have helped me the most. 30 21 days

1  Allergies Worst anxiety of my life. Frightening mood swings. Long lasting insomnia. Nausea and vomiting. Plus tons of other scary symptoms Don't take this crap. And if I you're on it, get off. The people in these comments are not exaggerating. This is a terrifying steroid when it gets into your bloodstream. 33 days

1  Allergies Please, do not use this poison. And if you find yourself suffering the horrible mental side effects that us unlucky ones seem to get, PLEASE talk to a psychiatrist . If it becomes too much to bare, an antidepressant can be used to help ease anxiety/depression/dark thoughts. By lowering your anxiety, it lowers your cortisol. Flonase is a steroid that heightens cortisol in some unlucky people. The heightened cortisol is what causes all these horrific side effects. Also, DONT GIVE UP. Keep pushing, you body and brain will heal, it just takes time. Whether you've found natural remedies that help or are taking prescriptions, be kind to yourself while you heal. You're not crazy and you won't feel like this forever. 24 29 days
