5  Sinus drainage, constant bronchitas Little bit loss of smell I've been taking flonase/zyrtec for 4 weeks now. I no longer have sinus draining which was constantly leading me to get sick with bronchitas. I was sick for nearly 3 months and I'm better now. I started allergy justs just two days ago. I'm going to continue taking flonase each day for the next year until my allergy shot cycle completes. I get sick every year because of allergies with Feb-May being the worst. So far this past 4 weeks I haven't been sick or coughed once. Go flonase!! M 37 4 weeks

5  allergies / post nasal drip Possible increase in nose bleeds I love it. Constant coughing all my life finally resolved. Allergies and job dust irritated membranes and caused the drip which stimulated coughing, sometimes so bad it would bring up stomach acid and leave me breathless. M 58 3 years

5  couldn't breath a little anxious the 6th day I was camping it was really windy. Allergens were everywhere. I couldn't hardly breath. I had used Flonase once before and it helped. I drove home at 3A.M. just to get it. Sprayed it in my nose. Instantly my head cleared, my ears loosened, my nose opened up and I could breath. Fell asleep. Mostly I only use Oxymetazoline. I don't use Flonase everyday. Only used it 6 times. But I know for sure it works. I noticed a little build up of anxiety, frustration, nervousness, stress not unlike to much coffee. M 35 6 days

5  Seasonal allergies Odd floral essence for about a half hour after use that kind of puts taste off kilter. Then you could pretty much set your watch by when it goes away each time. Good drug. It works, and I've used it seasonally for almost 15 years. I think if people stopped reading the insert, or diagnosing themselves on the inTArwEB (cuz you know, that makes you a doctor), you'd probably see a lot fewer of these goofball complaints like IT MIGHT HAVE GIVEN ME BREAST CANCER LETS FILE A CLASS ACTION SUIT!!! Anyway, 50 micrograms each side twice a day does nothing more than control your allergy symptoms. Also, my doctor said that most adverse side effects come improperly spraying this into your actual sinuses, rather than pointing the tip barely inside your nostril toward the same side ear with a VERY light sniff.  5  Allergies For the first 2 days I had a very slight burning sensation. After that, no side effects at all. A friend of mine was prescribed this medication and had very good results, so I asked my doctor and he agreed that I should try it. Prior to that, I had been taking Allegra, which also worked well for me but not as well as Flonase. You can get this medication for way less money from Canadian pharmacies. I recommend northwestpharmacy.com where you can get 3 bottles for 45 bucks. Follow the instructions carefully and don't take it for extended periods if you don't need to (outside of allergy season, for instance). Tell the doctor if you have side effects. M 58 8 years

5  plugged sinus Dry nasal passage, some bleeding. I use flonase followed by a dab of vaseline in both nostrils every night. I can always breath now! I could not tolerate flonase without the use of vaseline at least once daily (more in dry or cold winter weather). My docotr (surgeon) said I would be required to take flonase for life following sinus surgery to open blockages. I can usually breath through both nostrils now. I never get sinus infections any more, that may be a result of sinus surgery that removed turbinates and God knows what other spare parts! Breathing is GREAT now! M 49 10 years

5  severe seasonal allergies slight amounts of blood noticed in nasal passages, but never any full blown nose bleeds I can take one puff in each nostril during the winter and be great. I usually need a total of three puffs(one in one nostril, two in the other) during spring and summer. Outside of the drainage that occurs right after taking the med, no other issues. Works great for me with no side effects, unlike the zyrtec which really screwed me up. M 31 4 years

5  Seasonal Allergies Minor dizziness & vertigo occur if I move my head too fast. Not sleeping well. These side-effects just began after taking Flonase for two weeks, two sprays in each nostril per day. I will try reducing to one spray per nostril per day. I used Flonase last year and don't recall these side-effects. This has truely been my miracle drug for autumn allergies (mostly ragweed). I tried all of the over-the-counter and prescription oral medicines without much improvement. Flonase along with some OTC eye allergy drops makes me allergy-free! M 27 2 years

5  Nasal Congestion,Runny Nose, etc Side effects, what side effects. I had no side effects actually. This helped me so much. I would usually wake up in the morning and go through a box of tissue before i went to school and during school was hell. I couldnt talk either because i had to breathe through my mouth. Now, well Im breathing better than ever and I cant say enough about flonase. M 17 1 weeks

5  Allergies None. Works well. Good way to use it to do a sinus rinse first, then blow your nose, then 1 shot/nostril/day. Nasal rinse feels weird but in combo with Flonase does the job. M 50 15 years

5  Ear and throat irritation Some dry throat and dry nasal passages. Odd taste in throat. This is the closest I've ever been to calling something a miracle drug. Part of the reason I couldn't stop smoking was that smoking actually cleared my nasal passages temporarily when they were clogged up - and they were almost every night. The first dose of Flonase let me breathe like I hadn't in ages. My nose is no longer stuffed up in the evenings and the sore throat and ears (including popping from the pressure) from eustacean tube issues has cleared up completely. M 31 5 weeks

5  Hayfever, Alergies I have been taking flonase for 3 years. This has litterly made my life better due to my severe alergies. However, the side-effects have out-weighed the benefits! I have suffered from extremely severe migrane-like headaches for the past month, along with dizziness and vertigo. I have had trouble sleeping, and have had extreme mood swings. I stopped taking the flonase, and within 1 day, the headaches stopped!!! I am sleeping better, and the dizziness, vertigo, and mood swings are fading. If you don't suffer from side effects....this is the BEST medication ever. MAKE SURE YOU ARE AWARE OF THE SIDE EFFECTS!!!!!! M 31 3 years

5  stuffy nose and very water eyes I've experienced very mild occassional headaches, not requiring aspirin. Since I've never had a headache without good reason, I attribute them to the drug. This was self-prescribed ( M 61 5 months

5  Allergies to dust, mold, grasses None! This is a wonderful drug for me. I have severe allergies, and took allergy shots weekly from 3 years old through college. Since college I've depended on various antihistamines (most recently Claratin and Allegra) to control my allergies, which only did a moderately good job. Since switching to Flonase two years ago I no longer take antihistamines on a daily basis, but only once or twice a month when absolutely necessary. Flonase, by itself, does a much better job of controlling my congestion than the antihistamines ever did. M 42 2 years
