I was diagnosed with a deviated septum and my ENT suggested I take this as an alternative to surgery. Now on to my second week and I am back to congestion, sneezing, watery eyes etc.. and added dizziness and leg cramping. After researching and learning that there are MANY side effects, I have now made the decision to stop taking this drug. | F | 2 weeks 2X day | 3/9/2018 | 3 | ENT suggested for Sinus issues | Mostly Dizziness and Leg cramping | I have a deviated septum. My ENT suggested I take this to see if this could be an alternative to surgery. The first week I began having leg cramping but did not connect it with a possible Flonase side effect until now. Although Flonase did help me a great deal the first week, the second week I am back to congestion, sneezing, watery eyes etc.. and a additional side effect of Dizziness. I got so dizzy that I almost passed out. After researching and learning that there are MANY people with these strange side effects, I've made the decision to stop taking this drug. | F | 2 weeks 2X day | 3/9/2018 | 3 | sinus issues / allergies | Major anxiety and aggression. Literally any time anyone bothers me in the slightest I go from 0 to 100 with increased heart rate and extreme anger/terror. Deep breaths make me feel light headed and disoriented. This is immediately after 1 use. I does each nostril. Also taking Singulair but have only had 1 dose as well. | I have used inthe past and had very mild anxiety as a reaction. THis is a whole 'nother world of side effect. | M | 1 times 1X day | 7/17/2020 | 3 | | 11/14/2005 | 3 | Sinus infection | Anxiety, extreme insomnia, jitteriness | Helped with sinus symptoms. Not worth the side effects. | F | 1 weeks | 1/20/2009 | 2 | sinusitis, seasonal allergies | Fungal infection in sinuses, thrush in mouth. | The thrush was the first noticeable side effect, and a big concern for an otherwise healthy man. My dentist actually diagnosed & treated the thrush, but when it returned I went to my PCP, my doctor (ex-doctor) told me I didn't have thrush or a fungal infection because "that's what girls get in their vaginas." After changing doctors, I was treated for fungal infection and it cleared up. | M | 6 months | 7/12/2009 | 1 | allergies | extreme fatigue, total loss of energy every time I take it | 5 days | 8/16/2008 | 1 | Chronic Sinusitis | Insomnia, Itchy rash on my chest, irritability, blurry vision, headache, trouble swallowing. | Wow! Not worth the horrifying side affects. | M | 2 days | 10/15/2008 | 1 | nasal allergies | | 7/25/2007 | 1 | severe allergies | Immediately after taking one spray in each nostril, I wanted to cough. Tickling in throat continued for rest of night. Took second dose 12 hrs later and felt nauseated, tired, and had pressure right between my eyes-like someone sitting on my head. Stomach very upset, kept belching after I ate soft foods, had severe runs the next day with abdominal pain. Did not take any more after second dose. I HATE THIS STUFF! It also felt like someone poured a bottle of perfume up my nose, the fragrance is so strong. | F | 1 days 50 mcg 1X day | 2/10/2013 | 1 | allergies | increased anxiety in my son who was crying at school and seemed anxious | F | 14 days | 4/4/2006 | 1 | allergies | Someone with legal knowledge needs to get a class action lawsuit going, because this crap is ruining people's lives and is a danger to the public. | 30 days 1X day | 8/19/2020 | 1 | Allergies | Worst anxiety of my life. Frightening mood swings. Long lasting insomnia. Nausea and vomiting. Plus tons of other scary symptoms | Don't take this crap. And if I you're on it, get off. The people in these comments are not exaggerating. This is a terrifying steroid when it gets into your bloodstream. | 33 days | 6/27/2020 | 1 | Seasonal allergies | Negative thoughts, irritability | Did the formula change?? Have used for years in the winter for season allergies. It has affected my mood in the past, but not this bad. I took a spray per nostril every other day for a total of 2 or 3 times. The depression-like effect hit quickly, but I didn't realize it was due to the Flonase right away. It really works for allergies, but not worth the side effects. So glad I found this forum. | F | 5 days 1X day | 11/26/2020 | 1 | Sinus Inflammation | Crazy anxiety, insomnia, brain fog and weird thoughts Please email me how you got through it or what can help | M | 3 months 1X day | 1/15/2021 | 1 | Allergies | Terrible anxiety and insomnia. As well as intense nausea/vomiting | Can anyone let me know how long it was until their insomnia finally improved? :( or vomiting? | F | 21 days | 5/12/2020 | 1 | Loss of taste and smell permanently | F | 0 days | 3/22/2018 |
