1  Coughing, sneezing, thick phlegm - Used Flonase Spray 50 mcg - once per day - for a week. 6/10/2015 - have lost sense of taste and smell. still coughing, Phlegm etc. - discontinued using Flonase Spray. 6/21/2015 - have still lost sense of taste and smell - coughing has stopped. - Can taste limited sweet - sour - Although it helped me in the sort term with opening air passages - the long - term effects deem this medication undesirable. I would recommend against it. As of now, I am concerned whether I will ever regain my sense of taste and smell. M 77 1 weeks

1  blocked eustation tubes Took at bedtime. Next morning, acutely weak. Tried to get up, had to go back to bed. Did not associate this with Flixonase so used again. Unwell again the next day. Third day, still very weak. had a violent attack of vertigo ( maybe nothing to do with the drug?) rash appeared on chest and face. Voice completely lost. Very faint. Distant. Afraid. Almost two weeks later, still very weak and unable to be up. Still getting faint. GP says it was an allergic reaction. Dreadful. Wish I had never used it. F 75

1  Allergy symptoms, fluid in ears I experienced withdrawal symptoms when tapering off from Flonase...insomnia, anxiety, nightmares, adrenaline rushes that wakened me from sleep. I was taking 2 sprays in each nostril, per day, for about 2 months. When I tried going back to 1 spray, these symptoms occurred. Previously, I had anxiety and nightmares intermittently, but withdrawing from Flonase is making them worse. My doctor also recommended this for my symptoms, even though she knew I had anxiety issues. Has anyone else experienced increased side effects while tapering off of Flonase. How did you handle them? Any suggestions? F 75 1 years

1  Sinus congestion in allergy season Panic attacks I started experiencing panic attacks after being on Flonase for a little over two weeks. I've stopped taking Flonase and am hoping the symptoms go away soon. I developed extreme anxiety (I thought about cutting off a toe that was bothering me and killing myself to eliminate the sensation) which I never otherwise experience. Flonase was the only medication I was taking - period - and after doing research on-line I made the connection. It's not a scientific conclusion but based on the experiences of others and the fact that Flonase was the only thing different in my life, I lean toward it as the cause of my very uncomfortable anxiety attack, which is still going on this morning.  1  seasonal allergies all of the following were mostly extreme: anxiety, agitation, paranoia, restlessness, sore mouth and gums, dizziness, bad taste in my mouth, insomnia, intrusive thoughts, wanting to jump out of my skin (or off a bridge just to make these feelings go away!!), hopelessness, depression, crying, anger including feelings of rage, wanting to give up, panic, shortness of breath, depersonalization, body aches, headache, bone pain, numbness in various parts of my body, overwhelming thoughts of struggle, canNOT sit still at certain times within a 24 hour period after a dose. There are probably more symptoms I am forgetting because my mind is not working very good right now!! OMG I thought I was crazy until I read these stories of patients having most of my same symptoms!! Just reading them has helped me feel better because I know it is not just me and I am NOT crazy! This stuff is POISON and should be OFF the market. I am surprised it is not. I am so thankful I only took 1 spray in each nostril instead of 2! I am so glad I only took it for 2 days too. I hope that means this will ALL pass in a few days because this is brutal! F 71 2 days

2  Nasal congestion Began waking up at 3 or 4 in the morning feeling short of breath. Got worse as I continued Flonase and began to occur during the day as well. Problem stopped when I stopped the medication. Problem recurred when I re-tried the Flonase a few weeks later; side effect again went away when I quit medication. It does clear up nasal congestion, but it wasn't worth the scary sensation of feeling out of breath. M 70 4 weeks
