1	Ear Infection	Total loss of taste and smell	I was put on an antibiotic and Flonase by my doctor to treat an ear infection. After 4 days, the ear infection was starting to clear up but I couldn't taste or smell. Its really starting to scare me. 1	Middle ear infection	Permanent odd smell to date, nose bleed (minor) to date, not eliminated symptoms of ongoing low grade left side headache, runny and slightly painful left nostril, partially blocked left nostril. Started on this drug 2008 on drops then spray, total about 7 months. I decided to stop, almost immediate reduction in symptoms, which were getting worse again, and they are still reduced but present.	After original hospital admission with bleeding nose, ear and from sick, very ill. Referred to consultant ENT after returning home with ongoing symptoms, including tinitus. Together with side effects I've read about, plus the risk of even death if exposed to measles or some other disease(not on patient leaflet), and seemingly no awareness of these dangers by my GP/Consultant/Pharmacist, and when I asked my consultant how long I'd need to take it, he dismissively replied "It could be for ever". It has left me quite depressed, wondering if ageism was involved and searching for a decent consultant who can treat the problem and offer me sensible and honest advice and information instead of treating the symptoms with an inneffective and a dangerous(told safe)drug and me as a "patient" to be tolerated. 4	rhinitis following sinus infection	Insomnia. Strange taste in mouth. Really interesting vivid dreams.	It helps a lot with sinus irritation, but makes it harder for me to get to sleep. 3	Non-allergic rhinitis	Panic attacks, sleeplessness, anxiety, headaches, nausea	I've been taking Flonase for the past month, and while my nasal symptoms seemed to improve (much less sneezing and clearer air passage), I've been experiencing some bizarre episodes over the past 10 days that include panic attacks, shortness of breath, nausea, and sleeplessness/night terrors. This is the only drug I take, and I've never in my life experienced episodes like these before. 1	sinus inflamation	Depression, Panicky, Moody, Sleeplessness, Dry Nose, Slight Nose Bleeding ... odd heart beat sensations from time to time.	I found this site because I made a connection to a troubling depression and anxiety after committing to using the generic version of flonase every day for at least a month. I typed "depression and flonase" into Google and seems I have found the cause ... to my great relief. I took my last dose last night and hope it will be out of my system soon. I thought I was developing a serious problem. Sleeplessness, panicky feeling about any slight bit of bad news at work or personal, moody and generally depressed without relief. 3	Frequent Sinus and Ear Infections	Shortness of breath, Dizziness, and I have passed out twice after exercising.	I am a new user of Flonase, and my body is having a hard time adjusting. I find myself always dehydrated, and cannot do regualar exercises. Recently I worked out, and then could not catch my breath, stood up and then passed out and hit the floor. When I came to, my hands were clinched and numb. It was 30 minutes before I recovered enough to leave the gym. 5	Eustachian Tube Pain runs down neck	Yes it can make your heart race a little bit, so use according to your tolerance especially at first. But totally worth figuring it out.	My ears would affect me when I would fly. About every other trip I would end up with vertigo for 3 weeks after flying.I had constant horrible eustachin tube pain down one side of my neck for 2 years, and in the last year it started on the other side. 6 months ago I started using this once a day in each side. Then I got to twice a day. After some regular use I am now down to occasional use. I do NOT have constant pain, and use it when I feel a slight pain coming on to prevent it from setting in. I LOVE IT. I Never had a day prior to this for 2 years easily without pain. Just use it smart. You dont HAVE TO start with a full dose. Let your body get used to it, listen to your body, and build up to a fuller dose. My GP prescribed this to me, and I'm glad I didnt listen to the ENT specialists that told me I the only fix which was not reccomended was getting my eardrum rebuilt because of my eardrums inherant misfunction. ...By the way when I fly now I do not get vertigo afterward with use of this. 3	environmental allergies/sinusitus	I have been taking Flonase for several years. Not sure exactly how many but at least 4. I have been having anxiety attacks, increased irregular heart beats, high blood pressure, stomach problems, and mild depression.	I noticed a difference as soon as I quit it but am waiting until it has completely exited my system to tell if my issues were all flonase based or not. I rinse my sinuses with a Neil Med bottle twice a day and that is controlling my sinus issues. I will probably still use Flonase if I have particularly bad days but only as a last resort. I got a charge out of the 44 year old lady who has been taking it for 5 years and questioned people who said they had anxiety and depression issues and yet she stated she, herself, had had them for 5 years. 2	Sinus infections/nasal stuffiness	Dizzy feeling; anxiety; panic attacks; moodiness; depression	I starting taking flonase about 5 or 6 years ago; Until then I have never experienced anxiety and panic attacks. I contributed these symptons to work stress; Got anxienty medicine; These helped some at first; I have always taken Flonase as needed; sometimes I take it for months and sometimes just for weeks but I have never connnected the dots with the relationship of the symptoms mentioned above and when I use Flonase. I think I have finally figured it out. None of the symptons I have are listed in the documentation that comes with the drug so again that's why I did not think it was Flonase. 1	uncontrolled coughing and allergies	extreme "greasy" diarrhea (would happen with no notice), sinuses felt "greasy" after using drug, complete loss of sense of smell and taste, coughing continued due to constant nasal discharge, depression	Don't use this product until you completely investigate the side effects. I complained to my dr about the diarrhea and she said it couldn't be from the Flonase (guess she never read the side effects associated with the drug). I discontinued the drug after 6 weeks of use and am still waiting (5 weeks later) for my sense of smell and taste to return. The "greasy" diarrhea tapered off within 2 weeks but if I eat anything greasy now, there is a little diarrhea problem (easily handled with Kaopectate). I no longer have the greasy feeling in my nostrils, and the depression has lifted. 1	nasal congestion	insomnia, a general "wired" feeling, heavy nosebleeds, bad smell	This is a steroid drug, and it has a lot of the typical steroid side effects. I always had to be sure I used Flonase in the morning because if I used it before bed, it would keep me awake all night. The smell was bad, but tolerable and seemed to dissipate after a few hours. However, the real problem was the nosebleeds. After I'd been using this drug for almost two years, I started getting heavy nosebleeds out of the left side of my nose. I finally figured out that the Flonase was causing the bleeds, and stopped it shortly after that. Unfortunately, several years later, I still have a weak blood vessel in the left side of my nose that will bleed heavily from time to time. 3	Seasonal Allergies	Anxiety, more talkative, hyper, obstinant, defiant.	My son was coughing all night long, had a stuffy nose, then it would let loose and the mucous would just drain so badly. He was barely sleeping. History has taught us that every allergy or asthma medicine makes him spastic and out of control. Flonase is the lesser of all evils. The first day we gave him Flonase he hardly coughed and got a full nights sleep, the first in weeks. Sadly within 3 days his dad & I noticed a change in his behavior. So did his teacher, since she sent an e-mail asking what was going on. I can tell within 20 minutes of spraying his nose his behavior escalates. We decided to halve the dose, instead of one spray in each nostril, we are doing one spray in one nostril, then alternate to the other nostril the next day. Tonight 10/24/09 is the first we've done this and I noticed his behavior did not get out of control like it would before. How crazy I thought, to notice a difference right away. So far he has not coughed one time. Usually by now he has several times. So if you like the allergy releif you see but don't like the side effects, I offer this as a possibility. In fact, I have looked up every drug that I or my family members use on this site and every drug causes anxiety for a lot of people. Not sure what to think of this. I suppose the little bit of steroid in this med could do this, but still...... 4	allergies all year round	Flonase helped me allergies alot in the beginning but then I started getting HORRIBLE migraines and upon the migraines I felt like I was having a panic attack which lead to vomitting. 5	Dust allergies	None	FLONASE IS INCREDIBLE!!! I suffered miserably for years from year-round allergies. I finally went to an allergist and got tested (well worth it). I found out I was allergic to dust and dustmites. He put me on Flonase. It has worked absolutely incredible for me. Sneezing and blowing my nose are a thing of the past. 1	allergies	loss of appetite, insomnia, nightmares, anxiety, depression, feeling "out of it", dizziness, tired, weak, two episodes of light nosebleeds about a month apart, redness on outside of left nostril, left eye bloodshot, eventually left eye pain and left temple pain, severe dryness in nose, feeling of tightness like swim goggles after 3 months of use, nasal pain, muscle weakness in arms & legs, unstable blood sugar, irritability, short-tempered, inability to concentrate	After 2 wks of using it, I started to feel strange, loss of appetite, tired, anxious, worried, "out of it". After 1 month, I had a slight nose bleed from my left nostril and was treated with a steroid shot and 2 back-to-back cycles of antibiotics for a "sinus infection." Another month later, I had another slight nosebleed and was treated again for a sinus infection with a stronger cycle of antibiotics. All the while, I was feeling unlike I had ever felt in my life. See my side effects at left. Finally, after being on generic Flonase for three months, I realized (not the doctors) that it was the nasal spray that was making me "sick". The doctors had kept telling me to stay on it b/c my left nasal cavity was so inflamed that it "had to be helping." Ultimately, I ended up going to the ER 3 times this summer, and it all started with the steroid nasal spray. By the time, the doctors were finished "doctoring" me from what they couldn't figure out was the Flonase, they had given me two steroid shots six weeks apart and 5 days of Prednisone. I was up for 4 straight nights in a row right after finishing the Prednisone with all the other steroids in my system. I went to the ER once with a BP of 212/110 and another time for chest pains. 1	Seasonal Allergies	Anxiety, migraines	My son began taking this drug for allergies in the spring and over the summer we noticed he began to pick scabs and bite his fingernails. Both habits are considered "anxiety" disorders. Scab picking was severe and led to multiple scars and skin infections. Migraines occurred every 2-3 weeks, were sudden in onset and quickly progressed to the point of vomiting. I finally made the connection in timing of introduction of the drug to his system and the onset of these symptoms. 4	Allergies/pressurized ears	Bad taste due to dripping, some sleeplessness	I've been taking this off and on for years. It's not a miracle drug, but overall its one of the better long-term solutions I've found. I am allergic to almost everything in my house, including my 2 cats and I work with dogs, so I'm usually miserable. When I take Flonase, after a few days everything but the ear pressure goes away. In my experience, its better to start this medicine off slow - one pump per nostril, once a day IN THE MORNING. If you take it at night, the position of your head will keep too much of it in your sinuses (it was designed for patients mostly in a vertical position, therefor some is expected to drain down your throat - if you lay down for hours after spraying, nothing drains and you might "overdose" even with the "proper" dose). If you take this right before bed, it can cause some sleeplessness. Taking it during the day may prevent that side effect. Also note, though, some people experience something like sleep apnea when they have allergy symptoms (most people with the condition are not aware of it), and if you have inner ear issues like me, simply shifting positions at night can cause vertigo even in sleep, which can wake you up too. Allergies can cause diziness by themselves, so if you become dizzy, again, don't just blame the drug. 4	Sinusitis, Blocked Tear Ducts	No adverse side effects	I have had chronic nasal problems for 35+ years which for the past 2 years has begun effecting my tear ducts by plugging them up and causing constant pussy exudate and vision problems. Eye doctor wanted to insert tubes in my ducts but I thought, why a surgery? Began using Flonase a month ago and my problem has diminished quite substantially. For now, I am very satisfied with the product. In this short time, Flonase has already made up for most of the misery I have had with my eyes for the past 2 years. 1	Sinus congestion	Loss of appetite, nausea, dizziness, heart palpatations, depression, panic attacks, lack of energy, sleeplessness, shortness of breath, difficulty swallowing (including food)	Don't even think about using this nasal spray until you have read all the possible side effects. Check out www.NIH.gov for 3 long lists of possible side effects from mild to emergency-room-serious level. Flonase did nothing to relieve my nasal congestion even after using the product for two months. But once I went from one spray per nostril to two sprays per nostril per day my problems began. Many of my side effects were on the serious, get yourself to the emergency room list! The depression was the most frightening. But dizziness for half the day, nausea, lack of appetite and, especially, shortness of breath were also very scary. I'm usually a very confident, optimistic person, but the depression was beginning to cause a personality change. The lack of energy was getting me down as well because I couldn't clean the house, run errands, and keep things orderly and the resulting chaos only created another kind of depression. Be very careful before taking this drug. Read the Medline account about the use of this drug as far back as 1948 at the Mayo Clinic for arthritis and how it created so many horrible side effects no one would take it. 1	Chronic Sinus Infections	I took Flonase for 3 days when I had a severe migraine. I didn't connect the dots. That night I took Flonase for a 4th time. The next day I had another migraine. Finally I Googled Flonase & Migraines, discovering that the World Health Organization had found a significant connection between Flonase & Migraines. I stopped taking it. I had 2 more migraines 3 days after I'd stopped the medicine so it took that long for the medicine to clear my system. I have not had a migraine since that 4th one on June 23/09. 1	Severe, year-round allergies	debilitating cough, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing, headache, nausea/vomiting	My allergies had gotten to the point that they were no longer “seasonal” but year-round. I was taking a Claritin every day, sometimes taking another before I was supposed to. It helped some with the sneezing and runny nose but didn’t do much to relieve the obnoxious congestion I had become so accustomed to. Once I developed allergic asthma and was having regular attacks, I finally saw my doctor. He prescribed me Flonase and Singulair, and told me to continue taking my Claritin once a day. I took everything diligently at 6pm every day. For the first 8 days, I was on cloud 9. I could breathe all day and all night, no asthma attacks, no sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, scratchy throat…nothing! I thought I’d found wonder drugs. Yesterday, while at work I realized I was coughing…and coughing, and coughing, and coughing. I felt completely fine but had this persistent and horrible cough. I really didn’t think much of it, and took all my meds again at 6pm. Twenty minutes later, I could barely talk. I ended up awake all night with the cough, a sore throat, I was nauseous and throwing up, and when I finally drug myself out of bed this morning I stood up to a bad headache. I looked up the side effects of Flonase and they seem to fit the bill perfectly. I plan on calling my doctor today, and never putting that drug up my nose again. Talk about a let down. 5	Severe congestion	Occasional mild nosebleeds (only if blow my nose too hard)	I've always had sinus problems and terrible seasonal allergies, and I'm also allergic to cats. Last year I got a cat... I know, terrible idea, but I couldn't turn it away. Zyrtec relieved the constant sneezing and itchy eyes, but not the severe congestion. I had resorted to taking two different types of nasal sprays no less than every 2 hours; one of them made my heart feel like it was going to burst out of my chest. On a visit to my psychiatrist of all people, she saw how miserable I was and suggested I try Flonase, so she wrote me a script. I bought the generic version and within 3 days, I was a new person. No more congestion, NONE! Flonase has been a godsend, and I highly recommend it to anyone with similar problems to mine. I'm willing to put up with almost any side effect over the misery of living without being able to breathe through my nose. As a testament, I ran out of Flonase about two weeks ago, and for the last few days I’ve been back to my miserable congested self. I can’t wait to pick up a new one at the pharmacy tomorrow. 2	allergies, clogged ears	Sore throat, tingling tongue, few canker sores...let me tell you that I would rather suffer the effects of allergies over the side effects of this medication.	Flonase has alleviated the common effects of allergies such as: sneezing, itchy eyes and hayfever. However the side effects that I listed are extremely bothersome. 2	sinusitis, seasonal allergies	Fungal infection in sinuses, thrush in mouth.	The thrush was the first noticeable side effect, and a big concern for an otherwise healthy man. My dentist actually diagnosed & treated the thrush, but when it returned I went to my PCP, my doctor (ex-doctor) told me I didn't have thrush or a fungal infection because "that's what girls get in their vaginas." 1	Allergies	Withdrawal SEVERE DIZZINESS! While on drug experienced dry, itchy nose, headaches, sneezing and runny nose. Didn't help cough at all.	I have used Flonase for years for my spring allergies. Last fall I became ill and developed a persistent cough. My doctor told me to use the Flonase to help my cough. It never helped my cough, in fact what helped is when I started taking 2 TBLS of organic apple cider vinegar (OCV) in 8 oz water daily. I stopped the Flonase because my nose was so itchy -- I sneezed all the time and therefore had to continuously blow my nose. I was off of it for two days when I began experiencing the worst dizziness. The first bout was so debilitating that I could not stand for over an hour. Now it is four days later and I am still experiencing severe dizziness in the morning but am actually sneezing less and definitely blowing my nose less. I will never use this drug again! For whatever reason, the pharmaceutical company that makes this product does not want you to be aware of its frightening side effects, and have likely fudged their own "lab" results to make the drug more palatable to the market. I suffer from a mitral prolapse, and the doctor who prescribed this to me said I "shouldn't feel any side effects." The man is lucky I don't seek a malpractice suit. The effects were horrible: momentary euphoria followed by a sense of dread, coupled with dramatically increased heart rate. I feel tired today, and my limbs are twitching. 3	vasomotor rhinitis, sinusitis	Dry congestion, nasal sores, no relief, adrenaline surge when combined with decongestant.	Flonase was the last of numerous nasal steroids used and most tolerable-effective with 1-2 sprays daily, depending upon symptoms. Switched to generic about one year ago and noticed no immediate change. This past winter, it caused extreme dry congestion, with only intermittent use. ENT advised stopping. Felt lost after using steroids for about 10 years & was more miserable with sinus problems than ever. ENT advised Astelin antihistamine - tried once and never again; disgusting excuse for a medicine. Next, tried Nasalcrom (OTC). Wanted to report that this is may be an acceptable substitute for strong drugs. Must spray more often but no side effects. Past two days, worked within 5 minutes to stop stuffy, runny congestion. I do not irrigate when I have a sinus infection or sinuses are inflamed but hope to do so now in combination with Nasalcrom. Also rely on old formula Actifed DC-AH (Wal-Act, Walgreen)for ER's and Afrin once in while for major, debilitating congestion. To anyone with sinus misery, hang in until you find your best remedies. 5	allergy and sinus congestion	slight blood after blowing my nose in the morning, other than that, no side effects.	Flonase has helped minimize the frequency (0-1 cold/year vs. 3-4) and duration of colds (1 week vs. 6 weeks) as well as nearly eliminating the congestion and headaches that comes with the stuffed sinuses. I am no longer awakened at night unable to breath and making feeble attempts to blow my nose. I take one puff in each nostril at night before bed and sleep soundly (in the absence of work or family related stresses). Steroids only work if they are maintained in your system at a continuous level, so I take Flonase daily. I have been taking Flonase continuously for 2 years with no side effects and may wean off the medicine during the summer when the chance of getting colds is greatly reduced, but I plan to resume taking Flonase daily during the nine month school year. It has really increased the quality of my life and virtually eliminated the terrible congestion and sinus headaches (which can trigger my migraine headaches) associated with colds. 1	allergy prevention	flu-like symptoms(fever, chill, back pain, sore throat), dizziness, throwing-up, blurred vision, nose bleeding, light-headedness, strange (tennis-ball rubber like) smell of things	I sprayed twice to each nostril once a day every day for 2 months in order to prevent my severe seasonal allergy. Last week I had a sudden chill and severe back pain following the sore throat. It went away after a few days after experiencing 101.5F fever, then, sore throat got worse and had a hard time swallowing and breathing. Now I have two days hell of severe dizziness in the morning. Head starts spinning around 4:00 am when I move my head in bed, and I can't get up, sit or walk straight. It's so severe and make me throw up. Head keeps spinning for over one hour at high speed, and it takes me two hour to get up and start walking. It makes me extremely sick. Everything starts smelling like rubber. I do not understand why such a drug w/ TONS of side effects largely reported by many consumers is in the market. A benefit from using it is less sneezing, but I still sneeze and have running nose. 1	Season allergies	After only five days of regular use I have chest and stomach discomfort including burning, heaviness,and aching throughout my back arms and shoulders. Never experiences these things before so I can only assume it is the Flonase.	It worked great relieving all allergy symptons but the side effects I mentioned just aren't worth it. 1	Inflamed Sinuses, Post Nasal Drip	Vision changes.	For the first couple days of taking a generic version of Flonase, I noticed an increased number of floaters in my vision for about and hour. On the 4th day of taking the medication, I experienced a frightening change in vision that lasted for about 20 minutes. It was similar to an ocular migraine with vibrating pulses of light and movement. I also experienced a mild pressure headache. All of these symptoms happend within an hour of taking the medication. I'm a very smell/taste oriented person and I don't want to give it up significantly. BUT for the first time in a long long time I can breathe without a lot of obstruction. My nostrils feel clear, I don' t have to sniffle or make weird faces as if I had a tick, just to breathe through my nose! It's kind of like the lesser of two evils. 1	chronic sinunitis	I first took this medication when I was about 10. I would wake up in the middle of the night with heart palpatations, and severe anxiousness. My mother out of concern of course, phoned my Doctor. She said that it was definately not the flonase causing it. After reading all of this, I beg to differ. I stopped taking it, and all of those effects stopped. Now I am 24, and I devoloped a nasty cold, which of course led to an overgrowth of bacteria in my sinuses. 2	sinus congestion and allergies	I was great for the allergy and sinus symtoms, completely eliminated them after the first use. Side effects where terrible. I had been taking it for about 2 months o problem, when all of a sudden i get a canker sore or mouth sore. Nothing to worry about since iv'e had them before very ocassionaly. It grew and grew and became deep and extremely painful. 2 days later another one came out and after a few days i had 5 of them in my mouth. The worst experience of my life. Finally after a month of different doctors and treatments valtrex and a magic mouth wash did the trick. 2	nasal congestion	I started Vancenase 20 years ago and switched to flonase when it came out. It did help with allergic rhinitis but, any cold would turn into a full blown sinusitis. I had a chronic ulceration on my lower lip for about the same time, which I thought was coincidence. I had a chronic maxillary sinusitis which resisted all attempts to treat.	I switched to nasalchrom and stopped the use of Flonase. After about 1 month the chronic ulceration on the lower lip dissappeared (after 20 years). Sense of smell returned. 2	Rhinosinusitis / Chest Congestion	I feel disconnected, no taste no smell, dizzy, disoriented at times, loss of concentration, irratibility, anxiety.	I started taking Flonase ( generic equal) 5 days ago to battle a severe chest congestion and sinus drainage from my doctor. the drug cleared my sinuses well and helped with the congestion along with doxycycline. I have a weird metallic taste with everything now coffee, toast and peanut butter, jelly, everything taste real strange. Metalic, rusty flavored is how I explain it. I was scared I had kidney failure or had really torn some muscles, but hadnt lifted anything heavy so it was baffling me. If your having bad lower back pain stop taking this stuff, drink water, rest, it will keep hurting for at least a week but will go away. The medicine itself did not help my breathing at all - 0%. 2	pressurized eustachian tubes	tingling in face/sinuses, dizziness, heightened sensitivity in nose and throat, low-grade headache, insomnia	I was suffering from some constricted and pressurized eustachian tubes--no fluid or blockage, just contricted tubes. Doctor prescribed flonase to hope that the topical steroid would help relax and open the tubes. I had been experiencing some dizziness due to the constricted tubes, but this is different. I feel a bit anxious all the time, my head is "loopy" and I have not been sleeping well the past few nights. I fall asleep OK, but then wake up several hours later and cannot fall back to sleep, despite how tired I am. I also began experiencing a tingling in my sinuses behind my cheeks which I thought might be a sinus infection or similar, but I now think it is the flonase that has brough about that sensation. My ears are now unconstricted and I do not think the flonase contributed to that. By the 4th day I couldn't stop crying, had major headaches and major anxiety kicked in. I didn't know what to do with myself. My mom ended up coming up and getting me into a doctor. She put me on a relaxer to settle my stomach and settle some anxiety but now I've found this site and realized that it's Flonase causing my problems. I do not recommend this at all. I think I'm still dealing with some anxiety but the Flonase made it so much worse. My heart also raced and I feel nausea at times. 1	SINUS CONGESTION	WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!	HELP!!! I immediately couldn't sleep. The congestion gone, but I could care less about that now. I only took the reccomended dose. This was 10 days ago, and I'm still not back to normal, I have high anxiety, and worse, complete insomnia. Nothing works! After 2 nights of not sleeping, I felt I was going crazy, went to the ER on Thanksgiving (Happy Holidays! bah!) and they just summed it up to anxiety, gave me just a couple lorazepam and didn't believe it could "still be in my system". I tried a whole bottle of wine, sleeping aids, some of my mom's trazedone, NOTHING. Well still after not sleeping, I went to the follow-up doctor. Of course, no help. Told me to try benadryll. Of course, didn't work. The only way I can sleep is after a night of NOT sleeping, and knocking myself out with one of my mom's tramazepams, a lorazepam (i got from the ER, almost out), and I add a melatonin and sleepytime tea in for good measure. 1	sinus trouble	made congestion worse, bizarre flower taste, disoriented	My left sinus is still blocked somewhat after 3 weeks of netti pot, afrin and/or augmentin. The augmentin killed infection so headache not as severe lately; afrin worked well but can't use regularly because of "rebound"/addiction potential. So the PCP prescribed flonase; I must be allergic because it had total reverse effect.I used a netti pot to get the flonase out and fortunately that worked and I also made some progress on left sinus. The netti/saline routine stings and leaks but I'm very wary now of chemical remedies.Why get addicted or feel worse?	M	56	1 days		12/2/2008
1	Allergies and Sinus	Itchy Rash all over my body (almost immediately after taking and continuing to this day), joint and muscle pain--swelled fingers and knuckles (4 days after taking and continuing to this day), severe throat pain (similar to strep throat)3 days after taking. Throat pain cleared up on the day I stopped taking Flonase...my PCP referred me to an ENT specialist, but turns out I'm just allergic to my allergy medication.	I will have been officially off of Flonase for one week tomorrow and am still experiencing the terrible rash and joint/muscle pain and swelling...just wondering when it will end. 1	sinus problems	i gained a TON of weight very quickly - twenty pounds in probably six weeks! - and had a lot of increased anxiety; i had trouble focusing and felt anxious all the time. i also developed a patch of pimples above my nasal cavity on my forehead that would not go away no matter what. using flonase everyday also made my sinuses dependent on it, so i would have a really bad reaction on days when i would try to not take the medication. i do NOT recommend flonase. i have to drop all of this weight now.
