| 1 | UTI | Severe body/muscle and joint aches, disorientation, dizziness, general malaise, nausea. Almost flu like symptoms without any of the respiratory issues! | This medication is HORRIBLE. I have never felt so terrible in my life because of an antibiotic. I took it Monday, both doses and felt crappy but hey, have the UTI so thought that was why. Tuesday, took the morning dose and all hell broke loose and I couldn't get out of bed. Was looking at my mom and she was wavy!! Almost like seasick while laying in bed. Took the evening dose on Tuesday and the body symptoms kicked in LIKE I WAS HIT BY A TRUCK! Barely slept. Wednesday morning, felt ok-ish. Took the morning dose and back comes the dizziness and disorientation. Drive myself (which was dumb) back to the doc for a new antibiotic. Well, that turned into “you need to go to the ER bc of the neurological symptoms.” 4.5 hours in the ER to be told they can't find anything wrong, minimal evidence of a UTI (bc I took 5 pills of Macrobid), and they neither confirm, nor deny, my symptoms were a result of the Macrobid. Oh, and I was dehydrated. Here we are, Thursday morning. STILL feel like a truck hit me. I hope this ends soon!! I'm miserable. Was prescribed Bactrim now for the UTI so hopefully this nightmare will end.
