1  To reduce belly fat DON'T BUY THESE My side effect was a horrible itching after wearing Parxal for about 4 hours. I waited a month and tried it again, but I had the itching again. After I took the patch off, the horrible itching continued for about 2 hours. It was so bad that I laid down and poured Alcohol over my stomach. I had scratched so hard that there were scratch marks all over my stomach. The burn from the alcohol wasn't as bad as the itching. After about 3 hours, the itching started easing off. F 80

1  Social Anxiety, flushing Gained 20 lbs. ZERO libido or ability to orgasm. Felt numb emotionally/physically. Tapered off to 5mg/day to none and experienced the Worst withdrawal symptoms ever: brain zaps/shocks, extreme dizziness, extreme irritability/anger/rage, brain fog, trouble speaking and thinking, making mistakes at work, annoyed by everyone. I feel more messed up from taking this medicine. It's been over a month and I'm still having side effects. The only good thing was it stopped the flushing and anxiety. Should be taken off the market!  1  Depression Impotence, ed, ejaculatory malfunction, heavy sweating, increased depression, intense suicidal thoughts it ruined my marriage and my manhood. Made me numb in the brain and in my pants. It was great at first but a year ago I started noticing changes and I went to the dr and they just wanted to give me a pill to treat the effects of this pill. Im now on 3 different meds and I'm just done. The withdraw effects don't seem half as bad as being on the stuff. I'm trying a cold stop because if my manhood won't work then what's the point of existing? M 42 4 years

1  GAD, depression, cancer I understand this drug works for some people and good for them....until it isn't!!!! Coming off is completely pure hell. Also, I went from 117 pounds which has been my normal weight my entire adult life to almost 180 pounds and it wasn't normal feeling. My skin literally took on a different form. I could barely breathe from the weight gain. I cant stress enough how evil this drug can be and after extensive research Paxil shouldn't be used BY ANYONE WITH THYROID PROBLEMS!!!!! I hope to help save someone else from going through hell. Unethical company behind these drugs!!! 50/60 pound weight gain that was extremely bizarre feeling. It wasnt like I became fat but skin became so very thick and twitchy. F 52 1 years

1  Depression, Anxiety, OCD anorgasmia, confusion, headaches. Took this terrible drug unfortunately, thank God i never became a long-term user. Like the other SSRI medications it helped my severe depression and anxiety hardly at all. After this, I found a MAOI depressant called Nardil which completely eradicated all my depression and anxiety...and it is very easy to take and safe (despite all the bad inaccurate publicity about MAOIs) Paxil and other SSRIs gave me more side-effects and hardly help at all. Oh, and the people who promote this drug are extremely unethical-- watch www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0ffzsrDkSQ M 41 1 years

1  Ppd Horrible! Horrible! Turned my anxiety into severe depression, suicidal ideation, Insomnia, fatigue, disconnection, anger and Aggression. I never experienced deep and major depression like this before in my life. This has been hell! I stopped taking it 4 weeks ago and the withdrawal symptoms are horrible too: uncontrollable crying spells, ideation, brain zaps, high blood pressure, anger and orator ability along with insomnia. Do a gene test before you take any SSRI. This is NOT a joke and it could be life’s threatening. Seek am natural alternatives. 36 3 months

1  Depression and Anxiety/OCD The usual when you start any SSRI with the additional problem of feeling angry and aggressive. I just couldn't handle the anger and aggression that came on so quick. I have heard it is hard to get off, so I quickly went off so I didn't have withdrawal to add to the anger and aggression! Everyone is different but I've noticed a couple of people on here say Celexa (also called Cipramil) was good for them. I am back on it now and relieved. Maybe try it if you have had a problem with Paxil. F 49 2 days

1  Panic disorder, anxiety, depression When I started taking Paxil 11 years ago it was a lifesaver for me. I was in a constant state of panic and couldn't calm myself down. Paxil really helped at first. But after a while I kept gaining weight and nothing would help me to lose it. My libido was gone. I never cried I felt numb and like I was just existing. Now with no insurance or Doctor to prescribe I was forced to taper fast. I am on day 17 of hell. Head zaps, nausea, vomiting, anger, crying, suicidal thoughts, headaches. I just feel like crawling in a hole. I was never warned of this. I am trying to stick it out instead of going back on and being fat with no sense of being. I never would recommend this not even to my worst enemy. I'm going to try Prozac as soon as I can get insurance. It has a longer half life and no severe withdrawal symptoms. F 30 10 years

1  anxiety Nausea diarrhea shaking dizziness I was put on this drug because of anxiety. About 2 hours after taking it I had really bad diarrhea and nausea. My heart started racing. My normal heart rate is between 80-84 beats per minute. When taking this med it got up to 120. Needless to say I did not sleep that night. The next day was a living hell with the nausea and exhaustion. And then came the shakes. I have not taken it in over 36 hours and I still have minor shakes. Hopefully that will stop soon. DON'T TAKE THIS DRUG EVER!!! F 33 1 days

1  Depression/Anxiety Paxil (20 mg.) - This drug caused cervical dystonia, muscle weakness, tremors, fatigue, excessive sleep, indigestion, some anxiety. Manufacturer was Apotex. Started taking this in 2007 for weight loss due to severe acid reflux and anxiety. Had to go on Klonopin and receive Botox A shots due to the cervical dystonia that Paxil produced. I tried both the generic and brand name of this drug and it caused the same problems. I eventually had to wean myself off of Paxil due to all of the side effects mentioned. I wish I had never taken it. I should have received counseling instead of taking this drug. I personally DO NOT recommend it. M 53 7.5 years

1  phobias/ anxiety I started to tapered off the drug, cutting my doses in half each week. The withdraws are terrible. Bad dreams, brain buzzes, roller coaster of emotions, body is itchy, spacey, oh goodness the Nausea, stomach turns all the time, lost of balance, feeling displaced, trouble putting words together, trouble sleeping or spontaneously falling a sleep, lots of energy then none at all.... Why is this on the market with how bad the symptoms are? I'm upset that I was even placed on this evil drug. I'm struggling to detox my body from this nightmare. F 33 6 months
