5 | I feel that by other pain meds I have been prescribed hydro codone and lortab used to work, but the fda did something tomake the hydro codone I have been prescribed many years ago used to work within 15 to 20 minutes taking the pain away from my foot which I severely broke and didn't get the proper help making it heal wrong.i have been in chronic severe pain the very first day I injured it which has grown worse as time passes.so I feel that by taking morphine sulfate will work, unless they have changed it to be unaffected Please email me back and if you have a true knowing that morphine sulfate will work well for me. Thanks Sonny Harper | M | 40 | 1 days | 11/13/2015 | 4 | Severe back pain | Itching, rash sores from itching | Is the sulfate making me itch? | F | 57 | 4 months 15 mg hour | 10/10/2015 | 3 | disc injuries, spinal stenosis, s | Moderate pain relief, no head changes, made my mouth dry. | The slow release helped some with breakthrough pain. | F | 59 | 2 years 15mg x 4 | 9/20/2015 | 1 | To her high | Terrible, feel like throwing up | don't do it | F | 16 | 1 days 1/2 | 9/16/2015 | 1 | Pain in hospital | Could not breathe, dizziness | Be careful with this drug. | F | 1X day | 7/13/2015 | 5 | A 33 foot fall crushed back/legs | None. | Works well with chronic pain | M | 62 | 6 years 60 mg 4X day | 5/26/2015 | 4 | chronic neck and back pain | At times I feel unable to focus. The best I can describe it is like trying to carry on a conversation while your kid repeatedly says "dad, dad, dad". However, in my case it is often hard to concentrate due to the pain, so I call it a wash. Constipation is a minor problem considering how much it helps. Also, when it is wearing off I tend to get irritable for about half an hour so I try to isolate myself when it is wearing off(for me about 8 hours). | I find it helps with the pain but doesn't totally take it away. I actually like that because it helps keep me from over doing anything. I still do mind you, but at least I am aware of it. I still have my job and without morphine it would be impossible. I try to take it only when needed or when I am sure it is going to be a rough day. For example on weekends fishing with my sons or doing any long standing or physical work. | M | 39 | 4 years 30 MG er | 5/3/2015 | 4 | chronic low back pain | Constipation.was the worst side effect but can be remedied with softeners. | I've been on narcotics for 21yrs due to an on the job injury. 2 herniated disc 1 cracked vertebra and tore stomach wall off pelvic. 12 major surgeries.narcotics had stopped working except for high doses. Percocet oxytocin and the doses just kept getting bigger. I started taking morphine sulfate er 15mg every 12hrs 4 days ago. Doc told me we would have to adjust but we'll start low. What I've found is it does work but my breakthrough pain starts abt 6hrs. So when I go back in 3 days we'll move it up and go to a breakthrough med every 6hrs and I think I'll be able to function as normal as possible under the circumstances. That will take me from 360 pills to 180! I wish it were none but I'll take it. | M | 43 | 4 days 15mg | 3/26/2015 | 3 | Fibromyalgia/ chronic fatigue | No major sides I take mst 60mg twice Adam aswel as pregabalin | The problem I have is that it's supp to last 12 hours but I find it's more like 8 , the withdrawals are the worst thing iv ever felt as I run out on a weekend and couldn't get to the docs and if I am vomiting at any time and you can't hold your tablets down the withdrawal starts , not nice . It doesn't take the pain away altogether for me fibro is a horrible thing | M | 29 | 2 years 60 x2 aday | 3/14/2015 | 5 | osreoarthritis | None | Why does he want me stop it before i have my surgery? | 69 | 10 years 30 mg | 2/17/2015 | 3 | herniated disc 3, lower back pain, knee pain | bad sleepiness, terribley irritable, so very tired | I was doin fine on the methadone I've been taking for 10 or15 years now my doctor changed me to morphine & I haven't been myself since. Can anyone tell if this is normal & will get better soon! 2 doc. 4 pharmacist tell me it could be the change from the Methadone to the morphine. nobody tells for sure it is but none say for sure! I would like a for sure so I know it'll get better & if not I'd like to go back to the Methadone. at least I'll know then what do??? | F | 57 | 3 weeks 15mg 3 times | 2/8/2015 | 4 | Arthritis | Makes my skin itch | F | 53 | 8 days 60mg | 10/20/2014 | 3 | I had surgery on a toe from mrsa | Drowsiness, dry mouth sometimes when I awake, severe headache, legs kicking uncontrollably when about to fall asleep, strange vivid dreams, same hallucinations only at night felt like my head was being forced to shake or slammed repeatedly only when I was seconds from falling asleep forcing myself to become conscious (happened quite often and was kinda scary) Seconds of euphoria. By the way it was given through an iv p.I.c. line each time. For me it helped me fall asleep more than anything as for pain Motrin 600mg is way more effective (my other option for pain relief) | M | 21 | 7 weeks 2mg | 9/25/2014 | 1 | 2 broken vertebrae & 2 ruptured dis | Slight euphoria, tightening of the throat | F | 58 | 1 days 15 mg. | 9/5/2014 | 4 | Pain relief aft motorcycle accident | Dry throat/dehydration, Constipation, sleep difficulties, mood swings, depression, lethargy, sweating/feeling hot all the time, acne (mainly on back and shoulders). 1 night of proper scary hallucinations (was convinced people were grabbing my face/head and trying to stab me!). Had been taking Tramadol for back pain for 18months prior to motorcycle accident, which I feel reduced my reactions to morphine sulphate as my system is used to opiate type pain relief (Tramadol initially caused itching, dizziness/light headed and mild nausea). Morphine Sulphate is great at relieving the pain of my complex talus, pelvic and lumbar fractures, however it doesn't seem to help with coxsyx pain and it wears off within approx 4hrs. I also have Oramorph for relief between the 12 hourly tablets. | M | 31 | 4 months 20mg 12hrs | 8/20/2014 | 1 | RA and herniated disks in neck | It pretty much stops my RA as much as I can do normal activities. Doesn't do anything for my neck. Makes me itch no hives or welts just an itch. Also have noticed I have to just push to pee. I don't like taking it. Will ask my RA Dr for a change of meds. Also no sleep at night so stay sleepy all day Would not recommend this medication. | F | 64 | 5 months 30 mg | 7/27/2014 | 4 | Duragesic | I found the same effects after taking them for a long time the side eefects wore off but during the 3days towards the 3rd day i was withdrawin i now have it undle control but still get bad days n sleep for the day cus body cant handle pain | M | 45 | 1 days 37mg | 6/5/2014 | 2 | Lumbar laminectomy L3 to S1 | Nothing other than constipation & feeling detached or depressed | F | 41 | 3 weeks 15 mg | 5/29/2014 | 1 | Pain management P | Extreme apathy... | F | 70 | 3 years 30 to 60 m | 4/2/2014 | 3 | septic arthritis and other illnesse | When I don't take them I get ratty & always seem to get diarrhoea, I go normal when taking them but my body use of opiates as I was on dihydrocodiene from being 22yrs old .
