3  Post nasal drip Headache, neck ache, insomnia, raised heart rate, anxiety Nasacort worked really well in clearing up my post nasal drip. I was so disappointed that I was having so many side effects. I will discontinue use. F 62 1 days

1  Seasonal allergies I had two very scary episodes of heart palpitations in the middle of the night after taking this medicine before bed. Like, gym-shoes-in-the-dryer pounding, for many minutes...not just a couple of off beats. Super scary. Then, I've found it interesting to read about tooth and gum pain as I've experienced that as well as headaches, sneezing, dripping, weight gain, etc. Seems steroids and I don't get along! Will not continue this drug. F 59 2 months

5  Virus that left me with ear congest Worked well at first, but didn't sleep as well. My doctor had me take 2 sprays each nostril twice a day. Really helped with nasal and ear congestion that resulted from a virus. After 3 weeks, started having nausea and stomach irritation. Today I only took 1 spray in each nostril, because I have to wean off gradually. Also, I had tooth pain . It helped with ear and nasal congestion as a result of a virus. After 3 weeks, I was better , but it had really irritated my stomach. I would recommend trying it, but iam very sensitive to medicines, so I wouldn't be able to use it again. F 68 30 days

1  Sinuses swollen and infection Lose of smell and nose burns when I breathe out of it, altered taste, bad diarrhea and stomach issues, loss of appetite, dizziness, ringing in ears, irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, and insomnia. My Dr recommended this over Flonase and said to take 2 sprays in the nose 2 times a day, and now I regret taking it. Im glad I came across this while googling the side effects for this nase spray. No wonder I have been feeling horrible for days. Will be stopping this and hoping it leaves my system soon. F 5 days

1  Seasonal allergies Severe anxiety that I didn't immediately connect with taking Nasacort. My doctor prescribed Prozac around the same time and I stopped the Prozac thinking that was what was causing it. Nope. I am fine in the morning till I take the Nasacort and this morning I finally connected the dots and looked it up... and found this. I will never take this stuff again. F 53 21 days

1  Post nasal drip, ear fluid Pounding heart, chest tightness, neck stiffness I started taking based off of my ENT suggestion for my post nasal drip that was causing my ear pain and fluid buildup. It had immediately helped my ear fluid build up and that felt better. However, after the first week of taking it I noticed many unfamiliar symptoms. I am a very healthy 26 year old with no past medical history. No allergies. I ended up going to urgent care twice for shortness of breath, feeling like my chest was so tight I needed to rip my shirt off. Also started having terrible neck and upper back pain. I had to sleep with heating pads and lidocaine patches for a few nights figuring i moved the wrong way. But again, I’m a healthy and active 26 year old and have never had this happen before. My vitals were very normal (BP 111/59, HR 55, O2 98%). I had an ekg, chest X-ray, and blood work done, all normal. I was frustrated feeling like something must be very wrong. Luckily I started digging and found this website. I will be stopping this medication today, hoping this is the problem. Nothing else has changed (no new, or any for that matter, medications, no new foods/drinks, or lifestyle changes). Would not recommend. F 26 3 weeks

1  Seasonal allergies Started having weird arrhythmia. Worse in morning and evening. Achy throat, as if muscle pull. Chest tight and difficult to draw deep breath. Irritability. Very acid stomach. I usually use Flonase but have tried nasacort in past, so I picked up a bottle a month ago because it was available. Never again. The light finally went on in my head that the frightening pain in throat and palpitations might be from this stuff. Glad I checked here! Thank you everyone who reported heart trouble with this med, because otherwise I'd never have suspected this could happen. I've had AFib and don't want any more heart trouble. I would never recommend it to anyone. Dangerous garbage. F 67 10 days

3  Postnasal drip & allergies It helped clear up some dizziness I was having and then I stopped it for about a month before my allergies kicked up for pollen season. I took it for almost three months with no real issues and, paired with Azelastine, it cleared things up. About two weeks ago I began to have heart palpitations that were worse than normal a couple hours after taking it. I was taking it in the evening and they'd wake me up. The other night they were so bad that I could barely move and had to take my heart medication. I already have tachycardia and this apparently started making it worse. I stopped the Nasacort and had much less of an issue the next night and none at all after that. The Azelastine seems to be doing fine on its own. I'm going to stick with that. Tachycardia is listed but not as a common side effect. It's a good medication, I just can't make that kind of trade off involving my heart so 3/5 for efficacy. Look up the full list of reported side effects, especially in the post marketing report, just to be aware of what to watch out for. But everyone should really do that with any drug anyway.  1  Sinus Congestion Blisters bleeding sores in my nose with extremely bad headache and stiff neck. Burning sensation in my throat and chest and anxiety. This was recommended by my doctor to help with sinus congestion from a virus. I stopped it 3 days ago and still have bleeding sores in my nose.  3  Allergies Headache, itchy and mild shortness of breathe. It cleared up my sinusitis but it also gave me a headache and makes me itchy all over. I didn't realize this was causing it until I stopped for a few weeks and started again today now I'm itchy with a headache the only plus is that I'm not sneezing anymore. Can't wait to get this stuff out of my system. F 23 4 months

1  Seasonal allergies Within fifteen minutes of using product, experienced anxiety, shortness of breath and rapid heart rate. Several hours later, the symptoms have subsided but not completely. After experiencing symptoms, I immediately research side of effects of Nasacort and found that my symptoms were common. I would rather deal with seasonable allergies than to use Nasacort. F 71 1 days
