SYMPTOMS STARTED SLOWLY, BUT GOT WORSE. I DEVELOPED SEVERE EDEMA OF THE ANKLES AND FEET. IT WAS SO PAINFUL I COULD BARELY WALK. I HAD INSOMNIA & THE LIST GOES ON. AFTER AN ONLINE SEARCH I TOLD MY DR I THOUGHT AMLODIPINE WAS CAUSING MY EDEMA, HE CUT IT FROM 10MG TO 5 MG.1 WEEK LATER WENT TO THE ER FOR NAUSEA, AND THEY DISCOVERED IRREGULAR HEARTBEAT.WHICH IS A KNOWN SYMPTOM OF NORVASC.30 DAYS LATER,STILL HAVE THE IRREGULAR HEARTBEAT, BUT EDEMA & INSOMNIA ARE GONE. I CAN WALK AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 2 YEARS. THEY ARE DOING TESTS ON ME TO TRY AND GET MY HEARTBEAT IN CHECK. SO FAR THEY HAVE NOT ADMITTED IT MIGHT BE DUE TO THE MEDICATION!! SINCE I NEVER HAD IT BEFORE, AND DIDN'T GET IT UNTIL I CUT THE DOSAGE, I AM CONVINCED IT IS FROM THIS DRUG. NOW I AM REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT MY HEART, A POSSIBLE STROKE, OR HEART ATTACK. . I DON'T WANT TO DIE OF THESE HEART PROBLEMS. I | THIS IS A TERRIBLE DRUG. I REMEMBER THE DRUG REPS COMMING IN TO THE DR/S OFFICE PUSHING THIS DRUG. IT IS A SHAME MORE TESTING ISN'T DONE. THIS CAUSES SO MANY PROBLEMS, AS ALL OF THE FOLKS HERE HAVE MENTIONED. IS THERE NNOTHING US PATIENTS CAN DO ABOUT THIS SEEMINGLY LACK OF CARE BY THE BIG DRUG COMPANIES?
