Fortunately, I did not experience all the side effects that affected others. The worst side effect for me is the weight gain. Unfortunately, the injections did not shrink the fibroids as much as we had hoped (from 20 cm to 16 cm in 4 months). I was expecting the worst in terms of side-effects. I feel like there's hope of getting my life back after all. I know that my side effects seem like a lot, but aside from the tiredness, they don't interfere with my life the way the bleeding did. And even the need to sleep isn't all bad, I've probably pushed myself too hard for years. I'm looking at (much of) the extra sleep as a way to relax a bit and take care of me. My sex drive has not changed - in fact, without all the bleeding I feel more sexual than I have for a long time. The hot flashes are annoying (I have stronger words for the more intense ones). New Dr. in Philly suspected endo. I get my third monthly shot Fri. The pain is getting better. Not like someone threw a switch and it all went away, but gradual "feeling better" each day.
