| 1 | Endo | Fibromyalgia and chronic myofascial pain, headaches, fainting. Also multiple hormone disturbances and autoimmune thyroiditis. | Why is this drug still on the market? It has destroyed my life and caused so much suffering for nothing! Big Pharma gets rich - this is the only "positive" effect of Lupron! Don't take this drug! I'm not dissatisfied but disgusted. My life will never be the same anymore. And I still had to undergo surgery. Lupron caused all these chronic problems really for nothing! Please look for a good endo surgeon and don't waste your time and your health with such a hazardous drug. | F | 37 | 5 months | 10/27/2006 | 1 | Suspected endo | Seizures, complicated migraines, Cushing, Addie's syndrome, nuropathic pain. And unbearable hot flashes, bladder disorder. | I won't take it again! It's poison. Be very careful about any drugs you're taking, especially depo. You can't just skip the next pill if you experience any problem. Just have to wait it goes away... But such a drug can stay in your system for years. Reconsider your options before taking Lupron or other depo drugs. | F | 41 | 3 months | 10/27/2006 | 1 | Endometriosis, bleeding disorder | I have long lasting side effects: memory, attention and concentration problems, asthenia, bad back pain and migraines, orthostatic hypotension as well as advanced osteoporosis and arthritus. | This drug is not safe!! Panic attacks/ anxiety, fear and epilepsy like symptoms. Chronic insomnia until now. | This is the worse medications one can have ever put on. It made my life misserable for the six months I was taking it and it's still doing it. I've never being able to sleep more than 3 hours per night after this medication. Please, try your best not to have it. Thanks to my Lord and Savior JesusChrist, that has helped me to get healed and feel better with new strenghts. But if I ever have to have Lupron depot again, I rather have hysterectomy. | F | 24 | 6 months | 9/26/2006 | 1 | Endometriosis/Infertility | Severe hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, weight gain 25lbs., joint pain, muscle pain, mood swings, memory loss. | Taking Lupron was the worst mistake I ever made! I'm still suffering from muscle pain, achey joints, stiffness, memory loss & can't lose any weight. My last shot was Nov.05 and still can't get any answers from any doctors. I will research Lupron and the manufacturer and do everything I can to help others that are going through this too. 09/19/06 | F | 31 | 6 months | 9/19/2006 | 1 | prostate cancer | fatiqued and tire all the time.no sex drive or interest in sex. hot flashes and night sweats. I am not due to be seen by doctor for another months and will tell her I am not going to continue with the next 6 month session...I am miserable. | F | 47 | 4 months | 5/28/2006 | 1 | Endo | Hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain, water retention, NUMBING in fingers and feet..plus tingling in arms, hands and legs, fatigue, Extreme hip joint pain, No sex drive, can't sleep, thirsty all the time...feel lousy! | I would like to know IF and when these symptoms will subside after I complete this nasty drug. I had no prior history of joint pain, no family history of joint pain. | F | 40 | 5 months | 5/19/2006 | 1 | Endometriosis | Hot flashes Profuse Sweating Hip joint pain Sacrum Pain Ilium Pain | F | 44 | 3 months | 5/12/2006 | 1 | endometriosis | anxiety, paranoia, delusional, angry, deepened voice, very thirsty | family had to call ambulance/police for my behavior, took me to emergency room, was transferred to psyc ward, after much testing doctors attributed episode to lupron | F | 38 | 1 times | 5/4/2006 | 1 | Endometriosis | The 1st month was great. Took away about 75% of my endo pain. Didn't really have any side effects as I was also taking the add back therapy. Every month since then has been a night mare. Severe pelvic/rectal burning. To the point I can't sit down. Increase pain. Gallbladder pain. The treatment is definately worse the the initial problem. | F | 42 | 4 days | 4/24/2006 | 1 | Endometriosis | The 1st month was great. | F | 42 | 4 days | 4/24/2006 | 1 | Endometriosos | Mild relief of symptoms for first 3 months; less deep cramping, less pressure on back from swelling. Then, after another month, severe bone and muscle pain throughout body. Got MUCH worse after 5th injection. I believe Lupron sped my onset of Osteoporosis by lowering my estrogen so abruptly and drastically. | I am a few years removed from my treatment now and I want to stress NOT to use Lupron Depot injections if you fit the profile for high risk of Osteoporosis!! My first 3 injections seemed to provide some relief from pain of Endometriosis, except that some of my adhesions were in my bowel, and it never seemed to help that. I awoke in the middle of the night with excruciating bone and muscle pain after 5th injection (was recommended I have 6) and had to cancel a long-awaited vacation as I could not move! I have 3 ruptured disks, have perforated an ulcer; I have a high pain threshold, but this was incredibly debilitating. And now that I am suffering from fractures from Osteoporosis and unable to work, I am hearing and reading that the Lupron route, for a person with my family profile and physique (small, white female) was a VERY bad idea! The sudden supression of estrogen threw my calcium balance seriously off track and my doctor never knew enough about this drug to know what was happening | F | 53 | 5 months | 4/24/2006 | 1 | Endometriosis | The 1st month was great. | F | 42 | 4 days | 4/24/2006 | 1 | Endemetriosis | In order of severity: Continual, persistent, non-ending severe headache, depression, severe mood swings, lots of hot flashes, hyperhydrosis, difficulty concentrating, dizziness, nausea, hair loss, exhaustion | I have been dealing with these symptoms since 6 weeks after the last of 3 injections. That was almost 4 years ago! I have not taken Lupron in the past 4 years! There were some side effects while taking the shots, but the side effects I am talking about here started after the shots were done and continue to this day with no end in sight! These symptoms are not going away, in fact, the headaches have gradually become worse despite taking many different types of approaches to solve the headache problem. I would NOT recommend Lupron to anyone with Endemetriosis under any circumstances. It is not a cure, only a "quick bandaid", and it has the potential to alter your life in many negative ways. Why risk it? | F | 29 | 4 months | 2/26/2006 | 1 | endometriosis | extreme pain in my muscles and joints. Back pain. I couldn't lift my arms above my head, I had a hard time walking up a flight of stairs. I also had hot flashes and night sweats, some memory loss. I don't sleep well. I have a lot of pain while I'm trying to sleep. It's been over 2 years since my first injection and I still suffer from the muscle and joint pain. | I was supposed to take 1 injection a month for 6 months. After just a couple of hours after the first injection I started having side effects. My doctor ignored me. After 3 injections I couldn't take the pain any more. I havn't been back to her. | F | 39 | 3 months | 1/16/2006 | 1 | fibroid | I WENT FROM HAVING A MENSTRUAL OF 7 DAYS TO 2 MONTHS. LYPRON WOULD STOP MY MENTSTRUAL FOR 3 MONTHS BUT WHEN THE LUPRON LEFT MY SYSTEM MY MENSTRUAL WOULD STAY FOR 2 MONTHS. | I FEEL THAT THE DRUG IS NOT SAFE. I HAD TO END UP HAVING A HYSTERECTOMY BECAUSE I WAS LOOSING TO MUCH BLOOD ONCE THE LYPRON LEFT MY SYSTEM. IT CAUSE ME TO HAVE A PROLONG PERIOD | F | 45 | 1 days | 1/5/2006 | 1 | uterine hemoraging/adenocarcinoma | I had 2 injections Dec.27, 2004 and again Jan. 19, 2005 I was diagnosed with uterine cancer on Feb. 21, 2005. I had 2 weeks of heavy bleeding in between and when the Dr at emergency checked my hemoglobin was at 81.Side effects started with tingling altered sensation in my hands up to my shoulders and feet up to my ribs. Other side effects were severe muscle spasms and pain in my muscles and joints, eyes sensitive to light staggering walk, dizzy, unbalanced and I feel like I am going to fall down. I have occasional double vision, very little sence of smell and taste and some of my favorite foods now taste terrible. I have acne, my nails have little ridges from side to side, my hair was curly and appears to be less so.I have headackes, and sore tender breasts, a lot of shaking and fatique. Short term memory problems lots of anxiety and crying. Todays date is Dec. 6th 2005 and my neurologist told me today that these symptoms are probabley permanent but that he cannot say or won't say t | Please contact me if anyone has any suggestions for me. I don't know what to do,,, I cannot work like this and we live on a very limited income..... I used to be able to work and contribute to our household.I was told that I would have a few night sweats from these injections. Do you think these side effects are permanent? Is there any suggestions or any compensation? | F | 53 | 4 weeks | 12/6/2005 | 1 | PCOS/ Endometriosis | 30 DAY SHOT: managable hot flashes, little sleep problems, no memory loss, overall good. DAY TO RECIEVE 2nd INJECTION: Neurological problems such as shaky right side, numbness of body, vision and extreme memory loss. 5-10 minute Disassociative disorders. | OB/GYN said "NO" to next shot. Numerous hospital visits for fear of stroke. Hosptial stay for Neurological check, which came back normal. RELIEF: Ambien,Xanax,Ritalin,& mood stabilizer. 1 year later, got off ALL drugs. Neurological disorder returned 30 days after wheened off drugs w/ shaking on right side, vision, and memory problems.I AM NOT THE FIRST TO HAVE THESE EXACT PROBLEMS. BE CAREFUL!! | F | 27 | 1 times | 12/4/2005 | 1 | Endo | Hot flashes, night sweats, constant headache, weight gain, mood swings, depression | I have only been on Lupron for 1 month and not only have I experienced numerous side effects, my pain is much worse then it was before. I dont know if it takes longer to kick in, but so far I am completely miserable. | F | 19 | 1 months | 11/1/2005 | 1 | prostat cancer | hard to uranate or take a dump could not digest food guts were so hard thay hurt hot flashes that just made me teem | i hate the stuf i will never take thyat shit again | M | 55 | 120 days | 11/1/2005 | 1 | endometriosis | Severe hot flashes, night sweats, mental instability, depression, anxiety, mood swings, joint pain (mostly in my shoulders), migraines, | I was better off with the pain from endo. Not being able to control my emotions, and them flying off to polar opposites, was more than enough to handle and destroyed many, many relationships I had. I'm now trying to get my life back together. It's not easy. | F | 20 | 6 months | 10/12/2005 | 1 | Endometriosis | Hot flashes, insomnia, severe mood swings, hair loss, weight gain, loss of bone density | I thought that the Lupron was one of the worst drugs I've ever taken for my endometriosis. I was diagnosed when I was 15 and started Lupron shortly there after. I am now 19 and since taking Lupron have been on Depot Provera,Lo/ovral, and now Ovcon 35 because the Lupron didn't help the pain. Within 2 months of finishing the treatment I was put on Depot Provera, and I don't have health insurance so that was a lot of money for something that only made me a crazy bitch for six months. My symptoms didn't even get better. Depot provera helped me more than Lupron. And the side effects were unbearable, not to mention they were on top of puberty, but my parents would hardly talk to me and I really didn't have very many friends at school. I would never recommend this druge to anyone. In fact my doctor tried to put me on it again to see if the second time around would work better and I refused. | F | 19 | 6 months | 9/10/2005 | 1 | Endometriosis | Hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, and many others. | I took the shot for 6 months. I got off in January of 2004 and have yet to have a period on my own since. My husband and I cannot have children because I do not have periods and I cannot afford the medicine to take every month to have a period then to try to conceive. | F | 18 | 6 days | 8/30/2005 | 1 | Endometriosis | Hot Flashes, Night Sweats, Dizziness, Weight Gain, Water Retention, Pelvic Pain on right side, Cramping, Breakthrough bleeding after 2nd treatment, Mood Swings, Crying, Extreme Fatigue, Muscle Aches, Anxious Feeling, Dry Skin, Insomnia | This treatment has beena nightmare! I feel worse now than before I started treatment. My only other option was a hystorectomy; so I thought I'd try this as a last ditch effort. Please think strongly before trying Lupron. I have severe bone loss, which I hope will improve after treatment. Good luck and stay healthy! | F | 29 | 4 months | 8/1/2005 | 1 | Prostate Cancer | Enlarged Breasts, Night sweats, weakness of the legs, swelling of the legs, loss of balance, weight gain 30 pounds, 5 emergency room visits with heart attack / stroke symtoms, irratable, mood swings | Only one, three month injection, a year and a half later I still have problems with my legs, weight, sleep habits, etc. | M | 52 | 1 times | 7/24/2005 | 1 | Anemic, heavy menstrual period, | Had a biopsy done on 6/24/05 and got the lupron shot the same day. Is for 3 months, supposed to get 1 more. I thought it was going to stop my period but made it worse I was spotting and lightly bleeding after the biopsy, got my cycle a few day's later and am still bleeding 17 days!!!! This was supposed to help my anemia and my possible fibroids. I had a major anxiety attack in the middle of the night (thought I was going to die , I was bleeding from the nose and down there! shaking, weak feeling in the leggs almost fainting, my leggs were on fire from the inside, it was horrible. I'm on prozac and I don't think this is good for me at all. Have horrible mood swings, have insomnia, weird thoughts. No I would not recommend this medicine. It's pure evil. | F | 40 | 17 days | 7/10/2005 | 1 | fibroids | headache, burning eyes, pain in the legs | I started LUPRON 14 days ago. I still got my heavy, crampy, painful, bloated period today. I thought the drug would work immedietly .I am very dissappointed. | F | 47 | 14 days | 6/15/2005 | 1 | ENDOMRTRIOSIS, ADENOMIOSIS, POLYPS | HAIR LOSS, MEMORY LOSS, MUSCLE SPASMS THAT PREVENT ME FROM WALKING, HEADACHES, NO SEX DRIVE,DEPRESSION, AND THE WORST AXIETY EVER, NAUSEA, WEIGHT LOSS AND NUMEROUS OTHERS | F | 28 | 6 months | 6/3/2005 | 1 | Endometriosis | While I was on Lupron I immediately experienced an extreme mood change. I became fatigued to the point I had to stop working. I no longer had energy and was constantly craving food. I also experienced tenderness in my breasts. My side effects from Lupron changed my entire personality to a very negative out look on life and my body. | Lupron Depot is a very strong medication that should not be forced onto younger adults. After taking Lupron I now look negatively towards my body because of the way this medication has made me feel. I am extremely dissatisfied with this drug, and would not recommend it to ANYBODY. | F | 22 | 5 months | 5/5/2005 | 1 | Endometriosis | Serious permanent side effects. Memory loss, fibromyalgia, chronic fatique, huge weight gain, arthritus, herniated discs, neck damage, swelling/fluid retention, allergies so severe surgery was required and fluid drains out my ears all day, IBS, headaches, mania, suicidal depression, post traumatic stress, susceptible to catch germs-colds. These are all PERMANENT and I haven't had a shot of lupron for 8 years. | If you want to gamble with your life then try Lupron, but I suggest your read the package insert first. I lost everything to this drug, my career, social life, I moved to try to improve my health. Here's what you need to know: Lupron causes a phenominon called | F | 49 | | 4/29/2005 | 1 | Fibroids | 24hours after 1st shot I felt like I was going to crawl out of my skin! I was irritable and depressed. Side effects during my 3 consecutive shots were: terrible night sweats, hot flashes, memory loss, joint & muscle pain. | Approx. 2 months after my last shot I started my period. A week prior to starting my period I was having terrible pain in both wrists and trigger fringer (thumb). I have senice been diagnosed with De Quervains tendonitis in both hands! I have a cast on my left hand and a splint on my right. I am convinced this is a result of being on Lupron since the signs were present during lupron treatment, but got terribly worse 1 month after my last shot. Aside from a myomectomy, i have had no other surgeries or health problems. | F | 33 | 3 months | 4/23/2005 | 1 | IVF | I started with a severe, burning, itchy rash over most of my body. Then nausea for a day. Proceeded by a coronary muscle spasm that landed me in the hospital for 3 days. It made my cardiac enzymes elevate, mimicking an MI, I had an angio and telemetry monitor. I am the picture of health, no family history, no high BP, normal cholesterol, just Lupron, one tiem and it gave me a heart attack.. | F | 33 | 1 times | 4/21/2005 | 1 | Endometriosis | Severe headachs, Moodiness, Back pain, Vision and Memory loss, weight gain, breast enlargement, Hot Flashes, Suicidal Tendencies, Bloating, Irritability, Nightmares, and Bulemia. | I am 15 years old and last year i was diagnosed with stage 1 Endometriosis. I had been having severe cramps and prolonged periods up to 2 or 3 a month. The doctor had put me on Yasmine Birthcontrol to see if the pain would decrease when in actuality everything was going downhill, the pain was increasing, the moodswings were getting worse and the cramps wouldnt give me 5 minutes of not hurting. So i went back to the doctor and he switched my birthcontrol to Seasonal which gave me one period every three months.Well at first it was fine but about a week after taking the pills everything went back to how it used to be.Then my doctor started to put his information together about me maybe having Endometriosis. So after all of his checkups he decided to have me get an ultrasound, when he discoverd cyst and blisters on both of my ovaries. So then he scheduled me to undergo a Hysteroscopy and Dialation of the Cervix and Curettage of the Uterus(D&C).During the surgery he discovered that I had stage 1 Endometriosis.About a week later I had a checkup and the doctor decided to put me on the Lupron Depot shot to keep the Endometriosis from growing.I have now had 2 shots in my series of 3,which I get every 3 months.Every shot I take my side effects have got worse instead of better and lately I have been hurting myself to try and make the pain go away, making myself throw up which i have been doing from the weight gain, and my vision and memory has gotten worse in every aspect. | F | 15 | 8 months | 4/20/2005 | 1 | Endometriosis | Severe headachs, Moodiness, Back pain, Vision and Memory loss, weight gain, breast enlargement, Hot Flashes, Suicidal Tendencies, Bloating, Irritability, Nightmares, and Bulemia. | I am 15 years old and last year i was diagnosed with stage 1 Endometriosis. One week after my Lupron injection, I felt worse. The side effects are not worth going through for the next 6 months so I will discontinue this therapy. Ibuprofen is sufficient to relieve my menstrual cramps and there is no way I am going through this rollercoaster. I don't want to disrupt the quality of life, my family and career. So far, my doctor has presribed me estradiol patch and it is offering me some relief although I still have some body aches. | F | 44 | 7 days | 4/15/2005 | 1 | endometriosis | Manic behavior, including extremely violent thoughts and volatile reactions to everyone and everthing. Hot flashes were bad, but they were nothing compared to the different (and evil) person I became on the drug. | I have permanent memory loss attributed to Lupron. The drug did nothing to stem the growth of my endometriosis and made my life (and the life of those around me) and absolute living hell. | F | 37 | 6 months | 2/16/2005 | 1 | bleeding submucosal uterine fibroid | All menopausal symptoms while on it, extreme vertigo for 6 weeks as it was wearing off, tinnitus and touches of vertigo ever since, joint pain and aches in all joints & spine & neck, severe enough to wake me in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep for some time from the aches/pain. Extreme fatigue, afternoon/evening headaches often. All still a problem 2 years later. Oh, and increased breast size by 1/2+ cup size, gained 20 lbs (cup size change NOT from weight, lost half of it and still have the increased size) plus I can easily express small drop of milk now, even tho progesterone tested normal. | I was told there weren't any long term effects with the possible exception of slight negligable bone loss. I read the handouts. NOTHING like this was ever mentioned. I would NEVER have used this had I realized that anything like this was possible. Thyroid was tested & TSH & T4 are normal, ANA normal, Sed rate 1, so what the heck is this? NSAIDs don't help at all, neither does things like percocet or antidepressants. This is destroying my entire life. I was on it for 3 shots, one a month, except they didn't have the third shot on time, had to find a source and it was a week or two late. | F | 42 | 3 months | 2/15/2005 | 1 | IVF treatment | hot flashes, severe migraine, nausea, vomiting | What an awful experience! | F | 48 | 3 weeks | 2/6/2005 | 1 | endometriosis | i am in my third month of lupron therapy. the side effects are awful! i have had a headache every day since initiating treatment (migraine for the first 3 weeks); hot flashes are incredible; fever and chills; mood swings and depression are hard to deal with for me and people around me; last but definitely not least is the fatigue, for the first month, the only time i was awake for any length of time was when i was at work (missed a few days) and it hasn't improved all that much, i still sleep way too much, don't get things done that i should or had planned on because i am too tired to get out of bed or just don't have the energy. it has been next to impossible to lead a normal and happy life when you are either sleeping or feel like crying because of all the side effects (despite being on a small dose of estrace)!!! | i am a 25year old registered nurse. i have been dealing with the symptoms of endo for at least 10 years. i've had 3 laporoscopies, tried depot-provera, and have just taken my third injection of a 6 month course of lupron and really don't think that i will continue. the pain from endo is one thing but i could deal with that much more than with the side effects from the lupron, at least i still felt human!!!! | F | 25 | 3 months | 2/2/2005 | 1 | endometriosis | developed long term fibromyalgia, chronic back pain, neuralgia, migraines, bone pain, joint pain, arthritis, osteoporosis, muscle loss, memory loss etc.................. | it was the worst mistake of my life and guess what the endometriosis is back again for the third time since the shot, I have had my right ovary removed, and now I am going to have a hysterectomy I am 36. | F | 36 | 12 months | 2/1/2005 | 1 | Suspected Endometriosis | I was given a 3 month Lupron Depot injection on 12/28/04. The first 5 days the only side effects I had was soreness at the injection site, mild headache, and some difficulty falling asleep. From day 6 on, I have had night sweats, hair is falling out, blurred vision, extreme thirst (I drink 12 glasses of water a day), very painful backache, and a severe headache that never leaves me. That is not the worst part, I am only able to sleep 2-4 hours a night. From day 6 - 26, I slept only 2 hours a night. Now I am taking Fioricet (prescription pain reliever and sedative) several times a day for my severe headaches, so now I can sleep up to 4.5 hours. I almost drove my car off the road, because I could not keep my eyes open during my second week. When I called my doctor to tell him I couldn't sleep and the Ambien 10mg he called in for me doesn't help me sleep -- he said all his other patients have NO side effects and there was nothing he could do. I have since switched doctor's, but since I was given the 3 month shot it looks like I am going to suffer for 2 more months. I also had my period for 12 days. I would never recommend Lupron Depot to anyome. | F | 32 | 1 months | 1/26/2005 | 1 | Severe Endometriosis | uncontrollable crying spells, mood swings, forgetfulness, insomnia | I have only received my first injection and it has been pure hell. I am either crying, or very mean. I would rather go through a hysterectomy than put my husband and children through the hell of the past few weeks. I would like to hear from others who have experienced problems, as I am considering not continuing with the | F | 35 | | 1/25/2005 | 1 | prostate cancer | Enlarged breasts. Weak lower extremities, low back ache, loss of torso hair, unsteady gait, shrunken penis, loss of energy. | Bad news for me. | M | 85 | 1.5 years | 1/9/2005 | 1 | endometriosis | insommnia, bleeding, severe mood swings, headaches, hot flashes, and dizzy spells | I am not sure if taking this drug is worth it. The side effects especially the mood swings are harsh. The intense pain that I felt before has subsided but has been replaced with sleepless nights and days filled with depression. I feel as though I am 24 going on 60. What worries me is that who knows if the shot is even helping, it just seems to be prolonging the inevitable, a hysterectomy. I just count my blessings that I somehow carried my baby to term. | F | 24 | 2 months | 1/1/2005 | 1 | Endo, PCOS, Fibroids | I am now one week post my 2nd treatment. Headaches are severe. Mood Swings are severe. Temp extremes, hot flashes, and overall fatigue are severe. I was better before this medicine than I am after it, even with severe endo pain and bleeding. | The side effects do not merit the possible help from this drug in my opinion. I spent yesterday in the hospital for sever headache with vomiting. This has been present since the Lupron. | F | 27 | 6 weeks | 12/23/2004 | 1 | Endometriosis | Night sweats, hot flashes, breast pain, moodiness | my third injection | F | 35 | 3 months | 12/21/2004 | 1 | Endometriosis | Hot Flashes, Night Sweats, Nausea, Breast Tenderness | This is my second posting. I'm 27 and have been struggling with endomertiosis for 10 years. I've had 3 surgeries and would rather deal with my everyday pain than deal with the side effects from depot lupron. | F | 27 | 3 days | 11/17/2004 | 1 | prostate cancer | Temp: hot sweat Permanent: Low back ache, weak legs, unsteady gait, tire easy. | I was on lupron for 1 1/2 years. NO! | F | 39 | 60 days | 10/22/2004 | 1 | Endometriosis | Night Sweats, Headaches, Dizziness, Water Retention, Breat Tenderness | I just received my first Lupron injection over a week ago to help with the remaining scar tissue after surgery for Endometriosis, I was also given Norethindrone to help with the side effects. But the add back therapy has it's own side effects as they were almost immediate for me. On day 8, I had uncontrollable dizzy spells and had to leave work and go to the doctor. She had me stop the add back therapy and told me it would take up to 48 hours to get out of my system. I would suggest taking the Lupron first and see how your body reacts before taking the norethindrone. As I am still in the early stages of this drug, I will update this information in another few weeks. | F | 34 | 9 days | 9/28/2004 | 1 | Endometriosis | Hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia weight gain, fluid retention, depression. | It was discovered that I had severe endometriosis during a laporascopy that was performed for a the removal of an ovarian cyst. A surgery that was to only last for an hour and 1/2 turned into a 4 hour ordeal as my surgeon excised scar tissue that had adhered itself from my bowel to my abdomenal wall, appendix, etc. I was told that a three month cycle of injections would help tremendously. I am not taking my 3rd and final injection as I just cannot handle this for another few months (understand that the effects of the medicine linger for 2 months following your last injection). | F | 31 | 2 months | 7/12/2004 | 1 | severe bleeding, fibroids | severe hot flashes, bone thinning, joint pain, palpitations, dry, itchy and crawly skin, melanin changes, mood swings, weight gain, carb cravings, memory loss, hair thinning. | (1) 3-month injection reduced the bleeding, but the side effects were debilitating.
