I am 72 yrs old, and actually seem to be having fewer PAF attacks as I get older. Paradoxical, huh? I was extremely lethargic, cold with chills and had low blood pressure (95/70). I couldn't function and just sat around watching TV until the drug wore off. It did control my AVs which are intermittent and of short duration. However, the side effects are not worth it. The only good part was that it increased my libido with a bunch of very vivid sexual dreams. I am starting to wonder if my insulin resistance makes me ultra sensitive to beta blockers.
