1 | Colonoscopy prep | I was barely able to get the first half down but I did. I experienced very painful and crampy diarrhea which I expected. What I didn’t expect was, upon my second dose, I began vomiting uncontrollably. I have never puked so much in my life. I could not keep it down no matter what I tried. I became shaky, fevered, dizzy, and got cold sweats. I attempted to sleep to little avail, and nearly collapsed in the shower this morning | Most vile tasting thing I’ve ever had. Also worst diarrhea I’ve ever had (and I’m getting the colonoscopy FOR severe diarrhea) on top of that it’s unusable because it’s so sickeningly disgusting. 0/10. Ask your dr for a different prep, I wish I had | F | 24 | 1 days Peg 3350 | 1/22/2020 | 3 | Diagnostic colonoscopy | I didn’t have the gag reflex that I had with suprep but it’s still pretty awful. I couldn’t get warm. My hands and feet turned blue and now my lips and chin are numb and I feel like something is stuck in my throat. | I guess it’s better than colon cancer. | F | 48 | 2 days | 12/12/2019 | 2 | Diagnostic colonoscopy | Extreme shaking, chills, gag reflex, tremors, bloating | Not good if you have kidney disease but safer than suprep | F | 48 | 2 days | 12/12/2019 | 3 | Bowel prep for colonoscopy | Nausea, gagging, stomach and abdominal pain, chills, irritated raw butt. This tastes terrible in spite of chilling, add Crystal light, using straw and other recommended hacks. Woke up thirsty so I swallow ice water between glasses of prep. | Used the split prep 5 pm + 4 h before procedure. Plus 3 dulcolax at 10 pm. Clear movements before bed. Second prep started deep yellow with small sediment that cleared over two hours of 2nd prep. Very difficult prep for me. The small bottles of mg chloride + 4 liters water that I used previously was much less difficult and painful and have an excellent prep. I only managed to swallow 75% and made sure to drink a lot more water and tea. | F | 67 | 1 days 236 g peg | 11/4/2019 | 3 | Clean out due to constant constipation | Extreme nausea, abdominal aching, anal soreness , So bad I only drank 3/4 of the gallon jug. Any more would have vomited it all. Felt woozy and dizzy. | There simply has to be a better way. This stuff is horrible. I drank it between spoonfuls of jello which helped. | F | 78 | 1 days 1 gallon | 10/18/2019 | 1 | Colonoscopy prep | 0 days | 4/27/2019 | 1 | Colonoscopy prep | I drank almost one quarter of the bottle. I started itching and breaking out in hives. Pharmacist this bottle had a different manufactuer then the first bottle I had for prior bowel prep and for me to go to ER now by the time we went about 4 blocks to ER I was having trouble breathing. My blood pressure dropped to 56/34 Dr had to give me eppi in my iv. I remained in the hospital for 2 days. I never want to even see the bottle let alone try to take it again. | F | 57 | 1 days | 6/23/2018 | 1 | colonoscopy | After having 2 back to back colonoscopies, 8 liters in 3 days, it took 12 days before MY colon began to absorb water and send it to My kidneys. 12 days of little or no peeing, every thing liquid came out My back end. I am finally peeing again and have solid poos. I think next time I will just do the magnesium citrate instead of the legalized antifreeze solution. | The SDS for PEG 3350 is confusing. It can be read as the chemical in it's powder form, not solubilized. The LD50 for rates and mice are listed, yet in order to calculate the risk to a 115 pound human , I need to know if the LD50 is based on PEG3350 in dry form or in solution. FYI, I am a genius, not a lemming. | M | 57 | 1 days 4 liters 1X day | 3/4/2018 | 1 | Barium enema | The worst pain and bloating constipation diarrhea in my life! I'm having horrible side effects and the lousy medical system around me here won't take the side effects of this seriously! I'm fully impacted with stool and in excruciating pain 24/7 from this! I want to go to the hospital but they don't take the "official results" from the test I had today seriously either! Why the EFF does this come with a warning label but the medical community DOES NOT take it seriously???? If I live through this I'm suing someone! This is ridiculously uncalled for pain and suffering! What I don't understand is why this isn't being addressed properly BY ANYONE ?????? | NEVER AGAIN! DON'T USE THIS POISON! Side effects aren't taken seriously from the prescribing Dr or any medical intervention people! I'm serious about saying I feel sick enough that it's going to kill me!!! | F | 60 | 1 days | 10/23/2017 | 4 | Colonoscopy prep | I started just before 5 pm and it began working about 1 hour and 15 minutes later. Other than the flavor it isn't so bad. No nausea or vomiting, no cramping. Just a bit bloated. I did have a bit of a stomach bug for two days prior so I hadn't been eating much; rice and crackers mostly. It isn't something that one looks forward to doing but it is a necessity for a colonoscopy. I was fearing this prep more than I fear the colonoscopy. Now I just pray for good results from the colonoscopy. | F | 54 | 1 days 4 liters 1X day | 9/27/2017 | 5 | severe bowel obstructions | none | 1 shot glass every 3 minutes cold will work finish in 160 shots works wonderful for me the taste is good I hate the other junk I like the smell of skunk very much things don't bother me | M | 51 | 6 years 10 oz 10X day | 8/18/2017 | 5 | Colonoscopy | Chills | I was instructed to do a cleansing with Magnesium Citrate the night before, so I had no cramping etc. And nothing but liquids - no red or purple - for my intake the day before. I started with 8 oz at 5 pm drinking that same amount every 15-25 .minutes, finishing around 9:45 pm. By the time I finished with the liquid, things were running clear. The taste was not good but it was not bad either. I sipped on a Ginger Ale 'between' doses to help keep my stomach settled. The product worked just fine for me but again, I used Magnesium Citrate the night before since I'm prone to constipation and cramping. Eating lightly and drinking LOTS of water a couple days before taking the product I'm sure helped me also. NOTE to SELF if I have to do this again...Chilling the product is fine but if you can't drink cold water well, leave your dose out for 10 minutes or so before drinking to help bring it to room temp. AND keep some hemorrhoid cream handy because you're probably going to need it. Wipes are the way to go through this also . Vasoline BEFORE you start would probably have helped...wish I'd known beforehand. | F | 54 | 1 days 4 liters 4X H | 7/11/2017 | 4 | Colonoscopy | Little bit of cramping. | Didn't taste as bad as the stuff I had to drink 10 years ago. | 62 | 1 days 4L 1X day | 7/5/2017 | 1 | Colonospy | Stomach hurt felt burnt from neck all way down horrible had to take gavasgon for a week after | No more!!!! | F | 50 | 0 days 1gal | 6/13/2017 | 5 | Severe constipation | Feel a little chilly & thirsty afterwards | I have severe i mean severe constipation. This is the only product that works for me.I am prescribed this 6 times a month .Yes it tastes "bad" so, i use some crystal light lemonade & a straw drink it down fast & cold .It works & its life & it sucks but its ooookay. | F | 50 | 1 years 1 gallon | 4/27/2017 | 5 | Colonoscopy | Felt like throwing up (one time only) during intake of Goly...Got cold feet and hands. Lots of nasal decongestion. Salty Burping | 4 liters was alot to take. It was a bit salty but after mixing it with warm water, I poured 8 ozs in a glass and chilled it--It went down easier. | F | 65 | 1 days 4 liters | 4/2/2017 | 4 | Colonoscopy/hemorrhoidectamy prep | Extreme chills, gagging | I was told no red purple or blue dyes in my clear liquid diet so I added green lemon and lime crystal lite (because it tastes like I was drinking straight from the great salt lake) and now that I'm finished there is a bit of a green tint to my liquid and I'm kinda worried because it doesn't "run clear" I got really cold because it puts your body into a sort of shock, it's basically like purposely giving yourself food poisoning lol. I found it fairly easy to get to the washroom as long as I shuffled quickly, walking probably won't get you there fast enough, and running (along with laughing!) will possibly result in loss of bowel control. (No, I didn't lose it just about though!) so be careful! I am very nervous for my procedure but I have faith that this product will have aided me in the proper prep I need to do it. I really don't want to have to do this again it was not fun, but it will be worth it in the end. My bottom is a little sore from constant use of toilet paper, and I highly suggest either wet wipes, or pat wiping rather than swipe wiping, or using a spray bottle with warm water to avoid the area turning "raw" I gave this product a 4/5 because I am worried about the green dye, and because it tastes disgusting, however it seemed to help a LOT in doing its job, so I would recommend it (to nobody ever lol) to anybody who needed it to get a colonoscopy done. Good luck! | F | 28 | 1 times 4 litres 1X day | 3/29/2017 | 2 | College | 1X day | 2/19/2017 | 4 | Colonoscopy, anemia, fobt abnormal | Bloating, diarrhea(no surprise there), glurging stomach | I added the lemon packet to mine, I made it up the morning before I was to start drinking it and put it in the fridge so it would be cold. I had a stomach virus 4 days ago so was nervous about having to deal with diarrhea so soon after. The first two 8oz were hard to get through, by the 3rd I figured out I needed to drink it as fast as I could, then use the rest of the 15 minutes to gear up to drink it again. I started mine at 445pm, it took me until 615pm to drink the 2L ( 6 or7 8oz glasses).the medicine kicked it before I finished my last glass. I had to drink my last glass while I was in the restroom. Once I drank it, I found taking a sip of 7up as a chaser helped. The RN advised me that once my stool was running clear, I didn't need to drink anymore. Which happened with the 2L, I wasn't looking forward to having to drink the next 2L at 330am, the morning of colonoscopy. Some of the advice on here helped. I used wet wipes and Vaseline. My bum isn't as sore as it was 4 days ago when I had the severe stomach flu. I think it helped being pretty cleaned out from the flu and since I was recovering from that I have been eating very light leading up to having to do the prep, I think that helped. When the medicine kicks it you have to run to the restroom and it comes out like pee but through the other end. It wasn't as bad as the flu I just had, I would recommend to try a really hydrate yourself leading up to the prep. I did but I am still pretty thristy this morning. | F | 51 | 2 days 4l, split | 1/13/2017 | 4 | Severe constipation, impacted bowel | The taste is like drinking water from the depths of hell, pretty effective although it didn't completely clean me out. A whole gallon to drink is quite excessive and by the 3/4 Mark I was ready to vomit thinking I couldn't drink one more drink, but with the help of God and chewing gum I was able to do it. It was more or less like peeing sitting down just out of the wrong area. Horrible...but will clean you out when nothing else will. | M | 41 | 1 days | 1/4/2017 |
