I wish I didn't take them :( These meds are waaaaaaay too strong!! And for the burning skin, I felt like a pinch on my right arm throughout the day, thought I was going crazy. Preceeding this i was very active , outgoing and pretty happy. I rowed daily, lifted weights 2 - 3 times a week and played with my 3 yr old son and walked my dog for an hour a day along with working full time as a nurse. I started taking Metronidazole 800mg and 2000mg of Amoxicillan and 40mg of Omeprazole daily qfter my test came back positive. I immediately felt sick after my first Metronidazole but soldiered on to work. Day 2 awful leg pains and genuinely i felt stiff and sore and like a very old man. Tired , agitated, short tempered, and anxious. By then end of the week i had terrible stomach pain, leg pain, depressed and just horrible to be around. I lost 4 kilos and looked like death warmed up. I am now on my second week of sick leave and as Friday approaches i will certainly need to call my gp to get qnother sick line as i still have terrible leg pain , sickness, stomach pain, fatigue and low mood. I have during this 2 weeks been to A&E as i felt so awful at the weekend who prescribed me more Omeprazole, Peptac and anti- sickness tablets and co-codamol. I hate taking drugs so despite my symptoms i am only taking the peptac and omeprazole. Diet is chicken, kale and sweet potatoes . Greek yogurt with manuka honey and i am taking probiotics.
