Very groggy in the mornings, hangover, and just feeling stoned throughout the day, though some of this may be due to the fatigue from fibro, but it just makes it worse. While on it, I notice that my hair was falling out, not severe, but noticeable. Takes forever to wake up in the mornings. Didn't work on my fibro pain at all. | It did help me to fall asleep and stay asleep all night, but the fatigue and hangover feeling in the morning was godawful. It did'nt help with the fibro pain at all. I went to see my psychiatrist and he said for me to use restoril instead. I cleared it with my rheumy and he said that was fine. I used to take this drug years ago and noticed that I felt so much better when I was on it. I didn't know but I had an anxiety disorder and I was able to relax when on this med. My dr. changed me to an antidepressant and baclofen for a few years but the baclofen wasn't working very well any more. I am now back on flexeril, in fact I asked to go back on it. I can only take it when I am home, not at work or I can't function. It's best to take at bedtime, at least 12 hours from when you need to be at work or functioning. If less than 12 hrs I only take half of a tablet or I have a drug hangover. Only problem I have with it this time around is constipation. It helps me sleep and it works better than other muscle relaxers I have been prescribed. I also know that it’s good to be careful with these kind of meds even if you are in a lot of pain- it’s important to take the least amount possible. I have gotten great relief with this and have been able to sleep without being woken up by muscle cramps and pain. Very few medications actually make me sleep, so I’d be careful taking this during the day. I am having a difficult time w/ my nerve pain. I recently stopped using Fentanyl after 10 years because it wasn’t working very well anymore. I use Gabapentin and have steroid injections. I have tried Lyrica,Topamax, CBD oil...you name it...does anyone have a recommendation for something that has given them relief from nerve pain? I would so appreciate any ideas- 20+ years now - from 2 bad accidents.
