My arm was sore for about 3 weeks after the shot but it was worth it for the emotional relief. They gave me 1mg Ativan and it was the best feeling I had, not because the drug got me high, but because it did relieve the anxiety I was having. I have no other illness and take no other meds. If you can't sleep try over the counter Unisom. This is an over the counter med and works very well. ATIVAN (LORAZEPAM): This medication is used to treat anxiety. Lorazepam belongs to a class of drugs known as benzodiazepines which act on the brain and nerves (central nervous system) to produce a calming effect.
