5  I'm bipolar II, take it for anxiety Sluggishness. I take klonopin 0.5mg as needed for anxiety. It works very well and unlike xanax, it lasts a good 6-8 hours. Really like this med. I only take it when I really need it though, I never abuse it. 28 6 years

5  RSD cronic pain Klonopin has been a wonder drug for me(taking for 12 years post back surgery). I was given a diagnosis of RSD when my cronic foot pain persisted. Another RSD patient told me about Klonopin and my Dr. prescribed it for me. I take one mg daily at bedtime. It really helps calm down the nerveous system thus assists with pain -sometimes completely. I sleep well most nights and stay very focused and lack any anxiety that I believe I did have prior to taking this med. Perhaps it was a blessing. 53 12 years

5  Agorophobia, severe panic disorder I have not had any side effects from Klonopin at all. Klonopin, for me, is a miracle drug that gave me back my life. From always having depersonalization and being an agoraphobic who could barely leave the house, I now no longer have panic attacks, can travel and even fly, hold a full-time job, got married and have a child. I started with 4 mg a day and weaned myself down to 2 1/2. This drug worked equally well for a sibling with similar problems. Yes, I know that I will never be able to go off because I will go back to what I was, but that does not bother me anymore than a diabetic needing insulin. 50 21 years

5  GAD/Sleep/Panic Disorder Really good, definitely takes the edge off. No tolerance after 6 months of once-weekly use. Really a lifesaver when needed, highly recommended. Only the Teva brand pill works for me. Tried others (Mylan, Actavis, Teva Orally disintegrating) to no avail. Taking two 0.5mg is more effective than one 1mg pill. Always take on an empty stomach, 30-90 minutes to start working. Sometimes it hits hard, sometimes just enough to relax the muscles. Definitely a safe benzo if used responsibly, if your doctor refuses to prescribe (especially without a history of drug addiction) then find a new doctor! 6 months

5  Panic and anxiety A little tired sometimes but not to bad. Here's the deal. These drugs can be a lifeline if you need them. If you can try and just use them as needed when the panic attacks are just to much. I've been doing this for 10 years and maybe take the drug 3 days a week if that. I take it alongside paxil and although my anxiety isnt perfectly gone it helps knowing if things get un bearable I have these at my disposal. I dont think they were meant for long term usage so be weary and smart about it. Sometimes just knowing I have them in my pocket can calm me down. 38 10 years

5  to fall asleep and stay asleep Absolutely none other than getting drowsy and needing to go to sleep. In my case, it only works if I take an OTC med with it, which, in my case is Tylenol PM The key is to keep the dosage to 0.25 - .05 nightly if you need help sleeping. I have never had an issue with it but must take it because I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which I've had since age 39. I would never take it during the day because I am drug sensitive and would not be able to function, drive, etc. It's a godsend in my case, and I've tried many other medications. Please understand the downside to taking this type of med is that it has cognitive effects. I deal with fatigue and brain fog in the morning; most of it passes. 73 10 years

5  Insomnia possible memory loss but I am not sure, given I'm getting older and short term memory loss is natural to lose and also they tell me I will get short term memory loss, so maybe it's subliminal, as most are rather hysterical regarding this class of drug. But I don't really remember ;-) I'm fairly certain this drug is like others, in that, it may not be good for those with addictive tendencies but fine for those who do not. 61 6 years

4  post herpetic neuralgia slight sedation, slowed motor co-ordination, anorexia, nausea, headaches, depression, confusion and memory impairment, also LOL I swear I'm getting something like dyslexia, but I don't know the correct med term for that. I do take a high dose. I'm hoping the side effects I'm experiencing will decrease with time. It's working wonders on my pain control. I take 1.5 mg every six hours (3X a day). Since my condition is lifelong my dr said I will be taking the Klonopin long term. I'm wondering about anyone else who has taken high doses long term. Do the side effects get better? 34 5 weeks
