This along with belching tremendous amounts of air. Both symptoms flared after falling asleep. Both symptoms lasted for 4 hours in the nights even with taking antacids. This along with incredible constipation. Not even metamusil or senna moved the bowels but aggrevated the stomach more. Having stopped, I am still enduring symptoms sporadically. I had another episode last evening after being off for almost two weeks. I was doubled over in pain. At the end of taking this medication for two weeks, I had so much pain that I found it difficult to walk. The lower ribs in the back were killing me. And all of this from taking motrin after I told the doctor I was allergic to aspirin and he stated it would be OK to take the motrin. What a fool I was to believe him. This comes from an orthopaedic surgeon. I am so sorry I trusted him to perscribe the correct medication for me. And I was cutting the pill in half to not take the whole amount he perscribed | CAUTION reccommended. MOTRIN (IBUPROFEN): Ibuprofen is used to relieve pain from various conditions such as headache, dental pain, menstrual cramps, muscle aches, or arthritis.
