MONISTAT 7  (MICONAZOLE NITRATE):  This medication is used to treat vaginal yeast infections. Miconazole reduces vaginal burning, itching, and discharge that may occur with this condition. This medication is an azole antifungal. It works by stopping the growth of yeast (fungus) that causes the infection. The vaginal product comes in 2 forms (a vaginal cream or tablet). Some products also come with a skin cream to be applied to the area around the outside of the vagina. Ask your doctor before using this medication for self-treatment if this is your first vaginal infection. This medication only works for vaginal fungal infections. You may have a different type of infection (such as bacterial vaginosis) and may need a different medication. If you have fever, chills, flu-like symptoms, stomach/abdominal pain, or a bad-smelling vaginal discharge, do not use this medication. Contact your doctor right away because these may be signs of a more serious infection.   FDA Approval Date: 1991-02-15 (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)

5  yeast infection First few hours after applying it on the first day were uncomfortable, burned a little then turned to a persistent sting. After those first few hours the stinging went away and all irritation/itching went away though. You have to see it through, it may cause some discomfort, but its worth the relief. F 19 7 days

5  Yeast infection I have had no problems whatsoever with any burning or intense itching after insertion. I recomend using the full 7 days even if symptoms appear to be gone. YI are tricky little gremlins and can come back if you do not finish the treatment. It will def cut down on obgyn visits but remember to get your once a year exam. This product may not be for everyone so ask your doctor if it is your first YI F 45 7 days

5  Severe Yeast Infection I haven't noticed any. My infection was absolutely horrible by the time I was able to get a box of Monistat 7, thanks to covid-19. So insertion the first night was pretty painful but completely worth it. I anticipated a rough night but I felt nothing uncomfortable apart from a slight stinging. And I felt a lot better the next day. Insertion tonight (my second night) was easier. Thank God. F 31 2 days

5  Yeast infection Mild increase in itching and slight burning only a few minutes after inserting the cream but it went away after the 3rd day of using!! Sometimes it would make me feel like I had to go pee but I fought through it. Overall worked great and got rid of my symptoms to little or no side effects. Sometimes the side effects are worth not having a horrible burning itchy yeast infection. Please FINISH the dose... mine came back after I stopped the “equate” brand 7 day Miconazole, which that one was HORRIBLE it gave me the worst cramps and headache. Spend a few bucks and buy the name brand and finish the medicine or your years infection WILL return. F 26 7 days

5  Yeast infection It started of burning and itching more the first day I inserted it up my vagina. 2nd day same thing Just a lil less pain that the first day even though It made me not want to use it no more, but I told myself to just get these 7 days of this medicine over with so I can be normal again. 3rd day it felt better it was less pain and itching I really feel like it’s working but I’m still going to finish these 7 days so it’s completely gone!  5  Yeast Infection Day 1: Intense burning. It was awful kept me up all night. Day 2: Little to no burning. Noticed significant decrease in buring and itching throughout the day as well Day 3: slight tingling, but slept well. During day three mild burning. Will continue medication. Seems to diminish symptoms more and more each day. Very pleased. The pain is NO joke upon intial use. However, I am glad I stuck with the treatment. I experienced significant relief. I am 6 months pregnant and cannot take the meds usually perscribed for a yeast infection. Even though there was significant relief by day 3 I will be finishing all seven days. F 32 3 days

5  Yeast infection. About 5 minutes after I put the cream in for the first time it was the WORST itch internally I have ever had. Second day, barely any itch, and I'm on my 3rd day now and I'm not feeling any itching after application. I will say it does work GOOD though, my itching went away after the first use. I was amazed. I recommend you get this, granted it sucks the first time you use it because it's killing off all that bacteria and that's what causes the itching, but it really does show quick positive results. Every time you put the cream in the internal itching goes away more and more. It's just that first day, if you can get over that you got this! 😎 F 16 7 days

5  YI I've so far only experienced bleeding that started on the 6th day. I've tried the 1 day treatment before and it didn't work; only relieved the symptoms and itching for a few days. I decided to try the 7 day treatment based on positive reviews. I haven't experienced any burning at all. On day 6 of my treatments I'm now experiencing some bleeding. It started light this morning but now seems to be getting a bit heavier. I will finish my last day of treatment and wait a few days to see if the bleeding stops, if not then I'll go see my doctor.  5  Yeast Infection I don't know what everyone is talking about with the burning. I put it right up on in there and there was a bit of itching but now I absolutely feel nothing. Maybe you're just over-exaggerating or something. Give it a chance to see if it works for you. But it probably /shouldn't/ be burning a great deal. You might have another infection/disease/etc. Try it! There are a few pangs but it's nothing that can't be dealt with. F 16 1 days

5  Yeast Infection First night after 15 minutes I felt a little tingling but it went away a few minutes later. That's all for side effects. It's working very well, I sleep just fine with this product in. No burning or itching whatsoever. I recommend the 3 or 7 day treatment with those two being gentle on you then the 1 day which is a huge dose and is very strong. F 33 2 days

5  Yeast infection So I'm used to getting yeast infections, But I haven't gotten one in awhile. But now I do. Ugh! Anyway the first day of me trying Monistat 7, It was super itchy and really uncomfortable. Wanted to rip my insides apart. The second day using it, It wasn't so bad, Itchy but not as bad. The third day which would be today, I feel MUCH better. I have the Monistat inside me and barely feel itching so I'm assuming it's going away. F 20 3 days
