I was in the mental facility for about 3 months!!!! I was transferred so many times. I remember one time I was acting out and they gave me a shot I don't remember what it was but it calm me down . After I got on out they recommended haldol . I was giving the 50 ML dose via injection every month. This medication made me feel like I couldn't walk, I have delayed speech, had a hard time remembering things just felt like I was "slow" . I asked for a lower dosage and they declined my request. So I suddenly stop going. It's been 5 months since my last injection and I feel okay I guess . I'm back to normal but I still have days where I feel said I'm going to relapse. Sometimes I feel like I need the medication then again I don't want to be on it cause it makes me feel out of my body . ( can't do daily functions) | Dont stop taking the medication suddenly talk to your doctor your . I would somewhat recommend if you stay at home and don't work . If your the type to work and around the public eye I wouldn't recommend. And it was because I argued with my bro and he called the cops on me and I guess he didn't want me in jail so he lied to them that I was crazy so they let me go so instead they took me in the hospital. And just because I was bothering them to let me leave the hospital after three weeks inside the jail hospital. They wanted me to do nothing so they injected me with holdel and I never felt the same since. And one thing about me is that I am a collage graduate and worked at a pharmacy for five years. And a successful business owner. Ever since that hospital I lost everything and basically I can't find anything that I can enjoy. | Please do not let them give you this or anyone you know. Agonizing groaning. Had to argue with staff to get help for him. Finally was assessed by ICU nurse who rushed him to CV-ICU. Documentation: arrived in respiratory failure, acute kidney injury with rhabdomyolysis, dehydration. Vital organs shutting down. Had to work on him 48 minutes to stop death. He now has permanent damage from this reckless forced overdose by hospital staff at St Anthony's Hospital in St Petersburg, FL. They should be criminally charged with attempted murder. I had told staff in ER to never administrator Haldol because he could not tolerate the pill form. Yet they continued to inject him, as if they wanted him dead. | Poison. Should not be legal. After I adjusted to this medication, any joy and excited feelings has been stripped away from me because of taking this medication! Boredom & depression is the only thing you will have in life after taking this medication! HALDOL (HALOPERIDOL LACTATE): Haloperidol is used to treat certain mental/mood disorders (e.g., schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders). This medicine helps you to think more clearly, feel less nervous, and take part in everyday life. It can also help prevent suicide in people who are likely to harm themselves. It also reduces aggression and the desire to hurt others. It can decrease negative thoughts and hallucinations. Haloperidol can also be used to treat uncontrolled movements and outbursts of words/sounds related to Tourette's syndrome. Haloperidol is also used for severe behavior problems in hyperactive children when other treatments or medications have not worked. Haloperidol is a psychiatric medication (antipsychotic-type) that works by helping to restore the balance of certain natural substances in the brain (neurotransmitters).
