I have always had menstrual disruption - from missing periods to additional periods and heavy bleeding. I too have experienced the 'Kenalog Dent' in my buttocks but am happy to say in time the dent does return to normal (took mine about two years to do so.) I suffer from chronic daily headache with migraine which has been my 'cross to bear' for most of my life. I have never until this Spring had my Kenalog shot affect my migraines, but since this 2010 injection, I will NEVER again get a Kenalog shot. For the first 10 to 15 days after the shot I was feeling great relief from my allergy symptoms, but noticed my migraines increasing in intensity and duration. Three weeks after the shot I was having DAILY MIGRAINES and when not in the throws of a migraine I have been having tension-type gripping pain 24/7. I am a fit, active, healthy 51 year-old woman who normally leads a normal, happy lif | As I write this entry on 5/21/2010 I have just had a sudden-onset migraine in the night that I thought may send me to the E.R. I take Treximet and Maxalt (alternating the two) for my 'normal' migraines and am quickly exhausting my supply of both. I am miserable - far more so than any allergic symptoms could cause. In my own pain, I would caution ANYONE who suffers from MIGRAINE to NOT receive a Kenalog Injection. The risk of increased migraines is not worth any amount of relief the shot may offer. KENALOG-40 (TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE): This medication is used in a variety of conditions such as allergic disorders, arthritis, blood diseases, breathing problems, certain cancers, eye diseases, intestinal disorders, collagen and skin diseases. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of triamcinolone, especially if it is to be injected near your spine (epidural). Rare but serious side effects may occur with epidural use. Triamcinolone acetonide is known as a corticosteroid hormone (glucocorticoid). It works by decreasing your body's immune response to these diseases and reduces symptoms such as swelling.
