| 4 | RA | I have to take my shot on the weekend because of the immediate side effects. Within 1 hour of taking it, I am feverish, fatigue, shortness of breath, longer than normal digestion, and body aches. For me, this last a minimum of 24 hours, sometimes 36. | After the unfortunate loss of every weekend (which is quite depressing and an emotional roller coaster of feelings), I experience an engery boost like never before. I am almost jittery like, pacing at work, and I still have energy after work to help with dinner and chores that I have not been able to do for years. Overall, I do have improvements in joint pain, but not 100% gone. The anxiety/ depression of not being a productive mother and wife on the weekends (because of the shot) does negatively affect me. All biologics helped with the physical conditions though and having the psoriasis go away and the arthritis clear up made me stay on it, as th3 methotrexate i took prior, felt unbearable. I am seeking medical and psychological help to determine the next move. As i am so old now, i almost don't mind the thought of letting my bones deteriorate if i stop and the psoriasis being all ove my body again. The remicade made me have suicidal ideation and enbrel and humira may as well. I surround myself with a spiritual practice and a few people understand. Olease alter the rating system? After she failed a trial of Imuran due to acute pancreatitis, I agreed to try Humira. I have to say she is doing and feeling extremely well, so far. Her daily stomach issues and generalized body pain have all but disappeared. I feel like I have my daughter back. She has noticed she starts to feel a bit crummy a few days before her injection is due. Her doctor added some labs to check her blood level of the drug before her next injection just to make sure it is at a therapeutic level.
