5 | Adult ADD anxiety | No side effects that I can tell | I take 20mg when I wake up and then 20mg in the afternoon (at least 4 hours apart) this medication has truly changed my life. I wish I’d been diagnosed sooner, it would have saved me difficulties at jobs I’ve had. Without it I can’t seem to focus on any detailed paperwork long enough to finish it calmly and correctly. I’d rush through things because I’d loose patience. I no longer get overwhelmed by things and shut down. I can finish things or I can come back to it calmly without it causing anxiety. My anxiety has reduced so much that I barely need my other meds. I have built a tolerance to the get up and go feeling but that’s okay. I don’t notice extreme fatigue if I don’t take it either. I have multiple medical problems that I truly believe would be much worse without the adderall. I recommend it if you truly have ADD or fatigue from overwhelming anxiety. | F | 52 | 3 years 20mg 2xday | 1/12/2018 | 1 | Possible ADHD. Off-label/depression | If used prn & at healthy doses I give it a "4.5." Dr's who prescribed it's steady use at higher than reasonable doses long-term are the reason I give it a "1." It ruined my life! Totally! Stole everything & everyone. Most critically, it stole me! | M | 42 | 6 years 10mg qid | 11/17/2017 | 5 | Add | My situation is different because for 2 months it has worked great but for the last three to four days ive been feeling wierd...my head feels heavy i cant comprehend normal activities my speach is slurred twitchie mouth...im not doing anything different except taking more pm's thsn i normally do to sleep. | F | 46 | 2 months 30 | 7/8/2017 | 1 | Add | A feeling of being on top of the world that you can do any thing smarter than everyone else jittery and high strung and obese I've thought that reapeao and can't stop lack of sleep | She I stop obsessive thinking stops but feel depressed no energy or motivation or ability to function on simplest things. Need to take it to function and have the high like being on top of the world and high self esteem and are driven a over-focus and if I dont have it am anxious to get more and obsessed for more. | F | 57 | 5 years 40mg | 5/29/2017 | 1 | add | This drug should be illegal. It feel on top of the world the first few times you use it and then damages your brain for life. Look up amphetamine neurotoxicity if you don’t believe me. Permanent brain damage, Caused me permanent parkinsons disease Permanent destruction of my prefrontal cortex and dopamine neurons PET imaging has confirmed the damage to my dopamine reward system and my brain. Lost my girlfriend and all friends. Became permanently aggressive violent agitated and extremely irritable. Lost ability to enjoy music or feel ANY emotions. Used to laugh all the time now my eyes look Dead and my whole face looks completely different. | Do not take this neurotoxic poison! You will regret it in the long run! Everyone who takes this becomes addicted and dependent on it to do or feel anything because it fries the dopamine neurons in your brain!! Anyone who doesnt believe me try stopping this poison and see hoe you function without it compared to how you used to function before! | M | 20 | 0 days 40mg | 4/30/2017 | 3 | Adhd | When it wears off I crash and become very tired at work. I find that it loses its effects quickly as i started at 5 mg twice a day and within a week I was up to 10 mg twice a day, now it no longer gives me clarity or focus. | F | 39 | 3 weeks | 10/12/2016 | 4 | ADD/ADHD, Deppression, CFS | Sore achey muscles, dry mouth, super thirsty. | I dont take long lasting adderal, i take fast acting. But i take a generic form. The side effects suck, especially the achey body, but i also have arthritis. I can understand why people want to take this medicibe, but honestly its hard to get perscribed because so many people use it, that dobt neccesarily need it. Since taking this medicine, i can actually get out of bed. As before, i'd be so tired, and have no motivation or energy to even want to get up and take a shower. (I had to force myself) with the way my life was going, deppression soon kicked in, and since i have bipolar, the lack of life i felt, would throw me down to some bad lows. Since taking this medicine, i feel alive. I actually feel like its a miracle medicine. I find myself finally being able to enjoy life like "normal people" i have hobbies, i have the energy to exercise, shower, take care of my basic needs. Thats not to say i dont have life problems, but im not sleeping my life away anymore. Where as before i slept most of the day ( up for maybe 4 hours then back to sleep). My basic essential needs i can do. And im more positive, clear minded, sociable. I am a different person, on it, yes, but one that can experience life, without having to feel suffocated by shitty disorders. I actually feel like living instead of just wanting to exsist. | F | 34 | 5 months 30 mg dail | 8/27/2016 | 4 | Motivation, energy | minor headaches, fatigue, unmotivated | Firstly, please don’t be scared off by the neg reviewers here. YES you should definitely take them into consideration, but most of them act as if these neg affects are guaranteed for everybody. I don’t need to get scientific because I can tell you my own experience. I have been taking adderall since I was 19. (I’ll be 30 next month.) I started in college like a lot of people bc I needed to be focused. For me, once I was done with finals, or even during summer break, I would stop taking it since I didn’t “need” it. I was perfectly fine. This cont. for a couple years. After I was done with college I stopped taking it for about a year. My entire life, I was an insomniac and also naturally very lazy in general. Then I got my first job as a Paralegal at a Law Firm. I decided to get back on adderall so that I would start off kicking butt. I took it regularly (One 20 mg a day) for about a year or so. BC I was safe in my position I decided to get off of it. About 6 mo. after THAT, I switched jobs to another law firm, so I got BACK on it. Currently, I am still at my job and I have been on it regularly since then. What I do, is break my 20 mg pill in half and take 10 mg in the morning, and then if I need it again later after work, which I usually will in order to not nap when I get home, Ill take the other half. Then, I “crash” from the adderall around 10 PM or so, so it’s easy for me to go to sleep! I take it every day (incl wknds) | F | 29 | 9 years 20MG 2X day | 8/8/2016 | 4 | Motivation, energy | minor headaches, fatigue, unmotivated | (cont from prev box) the actual effects of adderall will wear off after consistently using it. When this happens, I have to stop taking it for a week or so and then when I take it again, the effects come back. Another neg effect I sometimes get is a minor headache when I get home from work. But I either just ride it out or take a small dose of buffered aspirin. Or smoke some weed. (It’s 2016 and it DOES help without adding more chemicals to my body.) I will also get dry mouth a lot but I am AWFUL about drinking water anyway! The pos effects are being extremely motivated. It ensures that I don’t mess ANYTHING up for a client and get everything done in a timely manner. There are many days I do not take it (bc I forgot it, or my boss won’t be in all week and it’s an easy week, etc.) and I def notice that I will goof off more instead of getting prepared like I do when I’m on adderall. I also have a tendency to overlook errors when I’m not on it. When I’m on it, I literally think of everything, double check anything I do, am more than prepared, and think outside the box. I consider myself a pretty intelligent person to begin with, but it’s as if adderall makes me even smarter. I am normally a very shy introvert. When I’m on adderall, I am much livelier, not afraid to make conversation, and I am very assertive and quick. After almost 10 yrs of taking it pretty regularly, I do not experience any of the side effects other people h | F | 29 | 9 years 20 MG 1X day | 8/8/2016 | 2 | I have ADHD, &my DR. Prescribed it | Sore tongue & most of the time I usually felt real tired. Then some days I was focused & a little hyper. Dehydration as well.. | I was never real impressed with the "cor" brand.. They never really had much of an effect on me. | M | 38 | 3 months 10mg | 8/3/2016 | 2 | ADHD | I feel tired and my eyelids feel heavy. Heart racinga little and jittery. | F | 37 | 10 days | 7/30/2016 | 3 | ADHD | Sever nausia, chronic abdominal pain, and constipation.. | I would love to get off this drug ASAP!!! | F | 47 | 2 years 60 mg | 7/29/2016 | 5 | ADHD, MOOD DO NOS | No side effects I can tell. Perhaps mild nervousness or impatience | Adderall has helped me greatly with my focus at work and energy levels in running errands. It gives me a lot of get-up-and-go. I was on Vyvanse, which though it worked somewhat, can't hold a candle to Adderall. I read of a way to jumpstart my Adderall and get more out of it, and ran this idea past my doctor, who said biologically it makes sense: Take 2-3 Tums tablets with your Adderall and it will last longer and you will feel its effects stronger. I do not know the exact science, but a more basic stomach environment helps the drug be better absorbed. And this makes sense given people are told not to drink citrus juices with their Adderall -- they dampen its effects. When the penny drops, Adderall has it all over many other ADHD medications (Vyvanse, dextroamphetamine), because it contains two amphetamine salts: dex for mental focus, and lev for physical energy. With many drugs, I say the oldie but goodies are better than the new fangled ones put on the market to pump up drug makers' profits. Adderall is a classic. Ritalin is a classic, too, but my week on that made me want to become a hermit. For my buck (and sanity), it's ADDERALL. | F | 38 | 60 days 20 2X day | 6/18/2016 | 3 | Sometimes couldnt sleep. Lack of appetite. Really really horney while on the adderrall. | Id end up getting little headaches sometimes an not sure why. Maybe need to drink more water an fluids and itll help | M | 22 | 7 days | 5/19/2016 | 3 | ADD PI | ED, trouble urinating, irritability, short term memory loss. Sexual urges, desire to try drugs and risky behaviors. | M | 40 | 3 years 30MG | 5/14/2016 |
